FS had it where you could create a whole outfit with accessories and didn't you used to just have the name of the outfit you wanted to wear in 1.5.6? Does this work with Fashion Sense? I really liked how I could create the whole outfit including veil, earrings, special hair, etc. and wearing the mermaid pendant! But I was using both this mod and Fashion Sense so not sure which actually put the clothes on me before the weddings!

This mod does not touch anything Fashion Sense related. If you use Fashion Sense, that will override what this mod is doing, since it basically overrides the farmer appearance and this mod changes which actual clothing items you're wearing for the duration of the wedding.

Ok :) Thank you! I will keep that in mind as I'm updating to all new stuff. Thanks for your hard work!

Great thinking! I've always hated that my female farmers have to literally go to sleep in their wedding attire if they want to look good during their special day. To say nothing of how guys are forced into the same suit no matter what. But then, that's how it works in real life too, isn't it? ;)

    Thanks!

The game did actually remove the requirement for the guys to wear a suit in the 1.6 update! But yeah, with this mod you don't have to sleep in your best clothes :)

this is more of a (personal) stardrop issue than smapi so ignore this if it's too much trouble but the mod manager is always saying there's an update for your mod. The issue is the version 2.0.0 is for 1.6, as in the beta. Is there a way to mark this so it's not notifying of a new update?
Here's a pic of your mod

Here's a pic of spacecore, and how it looks on the files section

So unfortunately none of your picture links worked for me, but do you not see the updated one under "Optional Files"? That's what I see when I go to the Files section of both SpaceCore and this mod.

Strange. They're all pictures hosted on imgur so I don't understand how you can't see them. However  here's the full view of each pictures for better accessibility (apologies in advance for the large space taken in the comments):
Here's a pic of your mod (it always shows there's an update)

Here's a pic of spacecore (no update available, latest version is 1.17.2
and how it looks on the files section (latest version is 1.18, yet is not shown as update available on spacecore)

Hope this way works better and you can see the pictures correctly

The files section of Spacecore looks pretty much the same as this mod, I’m not entirely sure why Stardrop is showing an update for this one and not Spacecore. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s really worth that much fussing with nexus formatting at the moment given that 1.6 should release next week, but thanks for letting me know; if there’s something straightforward I can change please feel free to let me know.

Hello! I've downloaded this mod but my farmer is still wearing the default tux and pants. I had the NoClothingChange config setting too. If it makes a difference, I've downloaded this the day before the wedding.
Edit: I've married Harvey on a new save file (within the first week lol) and the farmer still wears the tux and pants, so it's definitely a conflict with my other mods. Out of all the config options, the NoClothingChange seems to be the option to wear your regular clothes, am I mistaken?

Yes, NoClothingChange should leave you in your normal clothing. Looking through your log, it does seem like it's likely a mod conflict but I can't pick out any particular mod that would cause it. My guess would be something in the Free Love/etc set of mods, since they seem the most likely to do something with the wedding, but I'm not sure.

Here's a few next steps on debugging:

      • Remove most of your mods, and test it on a new save (with CJB cheats if you need), just to check that it is a mod conflict for sure
      • Put your mods back, and type harmony_summary into your console, hit return, and then send me a new log
      • Try removing all wedding-related mods that aren't content packs, and see if it still happens

      New SMAPI log
I've tried marrying someone on a new save file with only this mod and both the CJB cheats, still the default suit. I'll try removing just Free Love and related mods later and get back to you. Thank you~

Have you checked your config options? If it happens on a test save with just CJB Cheats it doesn't sound like a mod conflict.

The config was "weddingAttire.noneOption" (NoClothingChange in GMCM). I just did the wedding with the default suit (sadge for screenshot) since I  don't know what to do anymore. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a fix before my second wedding ;). Thank you for helping!

If you really can't figure it out, one option is to use Fashion Sense clothing. Since Fashion Sense overrides the clothing choices, it will show over your hardcoded suit. The only downside is that the existing packs are a bit limited since it's a fairly new framework. I will also take another look on my end to be super sure that it works for me, just in case there's a bug I somehow overlooked during testing.

I went in and tested again, and did find that when I removed GMCM the male farmer now wears a tux. I need to dig further to find the root of that issue, but I recommend installing GMCM on your test save to see if you still have the issue. If the test save with GMCM works, and your main save with GMCM does not, then I would be back to guessing it's a mod conflict.

Tried on a test save with only this, both CJBs, and GMCM. Still tux :( One solution I can always do is change the farmer's gender to female in the Wizard's basement so I can wear the regular outfit. Thank you for helping me!

I also tried the Wedding Dress option for my male farmer, still tux. I'm starting to believe that there's something wrong with my games files lol

I’m really sorry it’s not working for you! :( I appreciate you bringing it up because I did notice the GMCM bug, which I need to fix. If you still want to try more later, once I release that fix it’s possible it could mysteriously fix your bug, but I’m honestly not sure why it’s not working for you so it’s unclear if it would help.

Could this be used to add alternate options? Like from other characters? The cultural wedding mods come to mind.

Sorry, those are outside the scope of this mod. For NPCs, this mod doesn’t affect them at all. For players, you can set this mod to not change clothing, and then wear whatever modded clothes you like on your wedding day.

Completely understandable. Question, are the wedding dress/tux just regular clothing sprites? Pants/Shirt? Or do they use a special sheet anywhere? I wasn't really able to tell and my ability to search for things is currently hindered.

The tux is the default the game assigns, which happens to be existing shirt/pants sprites. The wedding dress is something I assigned, using the wedding top shirt and the long skirt. So there are no special sheets anywhere.

      Edit:
I believe they are "Suit Top" and "Farmer Pants" in black for the tux outfit, and "Bridal Shirt" and "Long Dress" in white for the wedding dress. You can reference the wiki for details: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Tailoring

Thanks for taking the time to reply and looking that up. I don't have home internet currently, lol, so that saved me a lot of hassle.

Thank you so much. I absolutely hate the tuxedo my male character is forced to wear and have been looking for a way to remove it forever.
