Until this is updated I found a decent work around
In the most current version of the game(1.15 I believe) - go into settings, scroll all the way to the bottom, on the part that says screenshot change the zoom to 100%, take screenshot, and the image will be in your screen shot folder. It ends up being the entire map that you're currently in (I've only tried it on the farm)
Just to add, the screenshot feature in the options tab works on any map in the game! The "zoom" setting actually determines the image's quality. So 25% will also capture the full map, just without all the detail (and will result in a smaller image size).
There's an option within the game itself now! If you go into options (where you can zoom in and out on the view and such) at the very bottom is a screenshot button and it takes a picture of the whole area! The more you zoom in the larger the file will be :)
I'm pretty sure it's just the standard game, btw but it might be part of the UI Info Suite :o
Bettoise is right. I do have UI Info Suite but I'm not sure that is required. In the options menu at the very bottom it says Screenshot: with a camera button under that with zoom levels next to it. I took my zoom to 100% and snapped a shot of the map I was on. The screen shot is in your appdata folder somewhere like C:\Users\"your account"\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Screenshots where "your account" is your account or name or whatever. You can get there faster by typing %appdata% in the folder location bar thingy. My screen shot snapped the entire map I was on perfectly... so I see no use in this mod on this page anymore.
Please, we really need this. This mod helps me a lot especially when foraging. I don't have to waste my precious time wondering around the map just to find items. I just need to export images and find out where on the map items are spawned.
Very useful for showing off one's farm/house, but sadly it ignores the reshade mod I'm playing with (Natural Colors here on Nexus), which is kind of jarring, since some colors don't mix well without the reshade. Is there any way to change that or do I just have to live with it? (Not a complaint, still highly preferable to taking lots of small screenshots and stitching them together, just asking.)
This mod reads from the map data, and the reshade mod changes the colors after reading from the same data; it doesn't actually alter the data itself. Because of this, it's impossible for this mod to capture that. You would have to write some kind of code that alters the colors AFTER reading the map. Since the author would have to do that with all the popular reshades in order to make everyone happy, I don't think it's too likely, unfortunately :(
It would be nice if the path that images are saved to can be configurable, in the .json for example. That way you don't have to dig way into the mod folder every time you export the map(s)
I had the same issue and while I'm not sure if it will help you, it helped me. I had my game on full screen and by windowing it so I could access the console commands at the same time I was able to get the full image. For some reason it didn't work for me when I had the full screen. It could be a different issue for you and hopefully you're able to resolve it!
Hello! Whenever I try to render the current map with weather (export current weather) or with all (export current all) when it's raining all it gives me is a black image. I would love to have a picture of my farm in the rain! What am I doing wrong?
