    Sorry for not releasing a new update in so long but I have been working on one! I just want for the 1.6 update (or even it's beta) so I can use content patcher for the shop, rather than STF.

      SO. Bad news, the update is gonna take longer than I expected because 1.6 adds new content right where Alecs petshop used to be. SO I'm gonna have to move him and that's just going to be a mess.

      why not move him south of the lake or south right across from marnies or even in that empty area beside joja

    I don't know if this is an unhelpful suggestion, but maybe he could live near the Community Center? Toward the right near the river may be enough space for his shop if it isn't too harsh of an overhaul!! It should still work with any expansions. He'd fit right into that patch of grass to the right of the steps beside Pierre's and to the right of the steps to the river. Or maybe between Clint and Joja? In town above Willow lane in that small park? I'm so sorry if these have been suggested!! I just know the map gets crowded with enough NPC and expansions, so it can be overwhelming, but I know you'll find something that will work! Thank you so much for all the love you put into this mod!!! :)

    Kind of a weird error I stumbled accross that I'm not sure why its happening but this and TXML don't seem to get along. Anytime I have this loaded into the game with TXML installed and go south to Marnies ranch it causes a crash. If I have one installed but not the other it will run them. I've got a number of mods installed installed but its the only conflict I can find.

    IDK if you would ever consider getting it run with TXML but I wanted to point it out.

    Works great with SVE if you're using the patch for his house! Good placement at all festivals with SVE too. I wasn't too big of  a fan of the original, but you've really fleshed Alec out. Essential NPC in my book!

    I installed the latest version, but when I enter the forest, I will still be forced to quit the game. Is it necessary to open a new archive?

    Hi there! This looks like an awesome mod I'm really excited to try - but every time I try to go to the forest/marnie's house area, I'm getting crashes because of "stack overflow" (and then a *ton* of extremely long code, mostly having to do with TMXLoader, which I know hasn't been updated yet). Hopefully that's all it needs, but wanted to let you know in case there was something on your end! Thanks so much!

      Yeah from what I remember TMXLoader/PYTK can cause errors and a lotttt of lag (I might be completely wrong tbh), I didn't actually didn't know it was still in use. Can you send me the log? https://smapi.io/log

      This is happening to me too. I'm not even getting any errors, my game is just force closing everytime I try to go to the forest. And it's definitely Alec cuz when I take him out of my mod folder my game works fine

      Thank you for uploading a log! Most of the errors seem to be caused by another npc (Cecillia), but there was an error for Alec. Are you using his original, revised, or seasonal portraits? And if it is seasonal, what season is it, or if its a festival? (if it's winter, is it snowing and are you inside?)

      Okay, so after a bit of testing, it seems to me that Alec is just not compatible with TMXloader, I have no real idea why.

      Yep you're right SoftPandaBoi, it was TMXLoader. Alec and the forest loads perfectly without it

      Was looking through my mods to find the culprit and thank goodness I saw this post! Same problem here for myself and my wife who uses my collection! Any chance of fixing this because I can't -not- have TMXL

    So, Absolutly love this Mod, Alec is one of my favorite bachelor, love his pet shop, i especially love that with 1.6 it has the potential to do so much more than it used to. Hell, you could almost move the functionality of that part of Marnie's shop to His.

    But, Where the Shop is with the new update is rather intrusive, especially with Expanded. I really hope that placement isn't permanent.

      I’m definitely going to experiment with giving his shop more function, I just added a big one earlier today.
      The stores location is meant to be temporary but I genuinely don't know where else to put it. There is a patch available to make it fit better with  SVE.

      I do have that patch, and it does make it look better, but It still has weirdish pathing, only solution I can think of is Putting it where Defense Division put their house, or maybe somewhere near Joja... there honestly aren't a lot of options, which sucks.

    Just wanted to comment and thank you very, very much for updating this. He's the cutest bachelor in the game (to me, at least). Can't wait to try him with the update!

      Wow, it actually fits pretty well there. I'm guessing you're using SVE?

      And it's the RX-121 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel]. It's from Advance of Zeta, a prequel to Zeta

      Never watched that prequel, is it worth watching? I very like Zeta. :)

      Unfortunately, it doesn't have an anime, it's a photo-novel and manga from the early 2000's, and ngl I haven't read it. It just has all of my favorite designs
