@BloodRose18, that's likely just bc the author forgot to change the version number in the manifest.json .. but i do wonder if it actually needs updated for the 1.6 update
wondering this too. getting the same message from smapi saying it does indeed need an update. will the mod still work in this instance? or is it dead until the update is up or the error is fixed?
If any of you guys are having the "Needing to update" for SMAPI. Open up the manifest.json and change the version to "1.1.0" as it still shows it's at "1.0.0"
I keep getting this too, not sure what it is but I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall it and it still says the same thing. It works fine for me still however.
okay, so what happens is the mod creator sometimes forgets to update the "Version": "#.#" in the manifest.json so smapi tells you the mod needs to be updated when in fact you have already download the newest version.
The fix for this either to wait for the mod creator to fix it themself or simply open manifest.json in a text editor of your choice and change the version # to match whats on the download version #.
Edit: Added picture in case the above doesn't make sense for anyone, I'm told I ramble sometimes.
sorry I didn't see your question before now, I use notepad++ but i think any text editor will work. No clue if this mod still works though, I'm not using it anymore.
Also, I noticed there is a space between the quotation mark and 1.0.0. Unsure if that could also cause an issue but if anyone still has an issue after changing the version number try removing that space.
Hi, I would like to translate your mod but when I open the Shane file there is no actual text, do I change it into a document file or what? Edit: I think I've found the solution lol Edit 2: Never mind, the changes don't save :( Good mod btw, although I've seen that he says Jojo when he is supposed to say Joja?
