Im playing on 1.6.8 version and it works 95% of the time , there are some tiles that dont get saturated less but its much better than that eye sore u get when u dont install this mod. Also I changed to 70% from the default 50% and it doesnt seem to work after that, ill just keep it at 50% its ok.
someone mentioned this below, but there's some kind of image issue with this mod. It works, but when set to the full 50% it creates a shadow of the old house under the CP skin I have for my current home. Is there a way to fix that? Or does this mod only work for files with no CP building changes? It seems to be happening to the main house
Hi, I was just wondering if there are any additional instructions for downloading this mod, whenever I try to download it it downloads a .rar file and not the actual contents it seems, am I doing something wrong?
It's 1.3 now. But you need to edit the manifest.jason in the mods folder from 1.2.0 to 1.3.0 by yourself. It's kind of metadata of the mod. Let's try it. You can fix it by notepad++ or notepad in Windows too.
I really love this mod because almost nothing has changed by it, and it's so natural. But I find my shoes seem to be always brown...Is it an easy problem to solve? (I'm not asking for updating but just let you konw that:D)
Maybe I'm missing something here, but what exactly is the benefit of having it done that way - especially compared to something like using SweetFX/ReShade? I mean, I could see a point when someone wants the visual effect for mobile - I'm sure there are similar tools even for Android & Co. though - but for PC/Mac it doesn't seem to be particular helpful, since you can achieve the same effect (and more) using shader tools which are 100% mod compatible - not reliant on code of the basegame and therefore out of the box compatible with updates - and use pretty much no additional hardware performance to talk about.
I'm not trying to criticize this mod per se - it just goes over my head why anyone would ever need it if there are better, simpler and more stable & compatible alternatives around since basically forever... o.O
I absolutely agree with you! There is no real benefit here compared to other ways. It's just one way of doing it. I'm no professional programmer per se and this was mainly made for just myself as I did not find anything that did the same. As well as that many people maybe don't know how to change settings in ENB/shader files.
My main playstyle is vanilla/minimalism and this was just an easy way to create it under a couple of hours using macros in Notepad++ and Photoshop (initial version). This mod only relies on filepaths and ContentPatcher syntax rules and is not reliant on any 'real' code.
I would love to create this in a more generic way with shaders but I have no knowledge in that area.
Acutally I have YET to find a reshader for mac. unfortunately I use lots of content packs, so, this doesn't really help me. but could be okay for a vanilla game.
Hi, I was having visual issues while having this mod and any CP reskin mod active at the same time. The problem was that you could still see the default skin as a shadow behind the reskinned one. It only happened with reskin mods that use CP so I posted my SMAPI log over at Content Patcher but it turns out that the problem lies with this mod, because it appears to edit everything. After turning this mod off I had no visual issues anymore. I just thought I would let you know because I really like this mod and maybe this can be fixed somehow :) I'll link a picture where I was using a CP reskin mod that changed the Rabbit Foot to an Easter Egg so you can see what I mean. https://prnt.sc/izjiKUyWl0fe
Oh goodness, thank you for fixing the bug that caused entering the volcano to cause players to be stuck. I spent a good while trouble shooting and had almost given up figuring out how to save my playthrough when I found the bug for this mod. Would you believe this was the last one I checked out of all 61 mods? Would you also believe I haven't played Stardew for years and this was my first time getting to the new Ginger Island content? So good to be able to continue thank you.

SMAPI 4.1.10
Content Patcher 2.5.1
Less Saturated Visuals 1.3
Error
But the mod itself works.
Thank you!
