Im new to modding i installed the windows version but smapi is telling me " These mods could not be added to your game. [SMAPI] - Stardrop because it contains files, but none of them are manifest.json." what di i do?
Love this mod manager! Only thing out of the ordinary is that every time my PC goes offline, stardrop loses recognition of my nexus mod api. Pretty simple to just plug that back in, but never had this happen on different mod managers.
So i have had stardrop with no issues for a while, but now suddenly none of my mods are showing in stardrop at all. When I click on add mods, all the folders are shown as empty on stardrop even though they arent. Does anyone know how to fix this? When i run modding API it says it can't run stardrop because none of the files are "manifest.json" I'd add my log but i dont know how to find it
i thought the different mod profiles would allow for different config settings being saved from profile to profile, but as far as i can tell that's not the case and you'll have to fix your settings each time you switch profiles which is less than ideal imo.. I don't know that there's any way for the software to track multiple .config files at the same time
Hello! I love your app and it has saved my butt and allowed me many hours of happiness when it comes to modded playthroughs:D So thank you so much for that:D I have 2 features I would like to suggest. I know everything is really crazy right now on the modding side of things and I hope I don't come off as critical by writing a lengthy post. Please bear with me as I explain. And with that out of the way I am going to put the feature request in a reply.
Problem: I have many many mods (pre 1.6 pushing 600). Everything was fairly stable pre 1.6 update, organizationally I was having difficulty- but I was making due. Post 1.6 updateI culled many mods that were broken (226 now). Still though I have issues with organizing, status tracking, and understanding dependencies/which mods I can get rid of cause none of my other mods need them.
Requests: 1. A searchable "notes" column for users to write information about the mod status: "Unchecked because not updated for 1.6 go to url because not nexus" "mod name is X but nexus says this" <- the tag feature (detailed below) could eliminate the need for this note "I think this might be conflicting with X. Details of what happened. I reported on XX/XX check on status at this link" "can only configure from config file not GCM compat".
2. A seachable "tags" column so I can better organize my collection. I would love to generate mod groups like for fashion sense and alternative textures mods. I know this is somewhat realized through already implemented means such as searching while having the "mod name" and "requirements" filters activated but a tags feature allowing user customization would help me group more obscure mods.
Implementation: I was thinking users could generate/edit either of these by right clicking the mod name and the frop down would have separate buttons for each feature. Clicking the button takes you to an editable notepad file and the column would populate based on the file's text. Or the column has an editable field and users edit it by double/right clicking. Or both? I don't know what would be the easiest way and maybe there isn't an easy way... Likely the "notes" column would have to truncate at a certain word count but it would still be nice to have text searchable even if truncated.
Sorry this was so long! I'm trying to be clear in both how I would like the feature to behave and how/why I think it would be very useful. The stardew modding community is so great and I kow you all work super hard to keep things running as smoothly as they do. I don't have much of a background in coding but I do have a little free time currently and in the near future. If these features sound feasible and you don't mind teaching/directing someone maybe I could help implement them?
First of all I want to say I love Stardrop; it's the best mod manager I've used for any of my games requiring them. However, every time I close and reopen it the spacing of the categories along the top gets reset. It tries to make each category fit all the info for each mod which then pushes the install update button off the screen because some of them have really long strings [e.g. Unofficial Update Available (1.1.0-unofficial.2-femtohound)]. I typically shrink the size of endorsement until just big enough to see the thumb, missing requirements, and status. But it's annoying to shrink them again every time I open the program. I don't know how much work it would be to code in a way for it to remember how big the categories were and reopen with that same size, but if it isn't too difficult it would be a fantastic quality of life change for me. Thanks!

Best and thank you,
