that's a good point. right now you can turn the color feature off so it's just a black and white die, so you don't know what your luck is unless you hover. that is a potential work around. right now i'm prioritizing making sure everything works with 1.6 (so far the base mod is OK), so I can't say I'll get to a feature like this soon.
hi, I found this mod because i was looking for a mod which would remind me what the daily luck was when i watched the tv and then promptly forgot it when i walked out of the house.
I love how this one seems to be dymanic with how it is altered by your luck buffs, which is a great bonus!
But personally i play a very very vanilla game and don't like using something which gives me more knowledge than my character would "know". so if i don't check the tv then i don't "know" the luck, only my modifiers, and so it just *feels* different to use the mod to "remember" something vs "check" something.
especially because the descriptions use the tv luck lines with the daily luck, it *feels* weird to see it used when i haven't actually seen that forecast. seems silly, but it's taken me 7 years to actually use mods, so it's a slow road here for me... xD
Yes, the icon only showing after watching the TV would be nice because it will remember us about our luck at the same time we would get the extra info about the percentage of the luck
hey @kanadeyoru and @AliRanger51, thanks for your input! knowing this perspective will make me definitely put it on things to add for the next version. i'm in grad school and finishing up the semester, but keep an eye out over the next month or so when i have more time off!
This mod seems very helpful, and it runs without any errors in SMAPI. However it no longer displays when I hover or click on the icon. It did once or twice early on I don't know what changed. On day start it runs "[JustLuckMod] OnDayStarted luck for Oscar: The spirits are very happy today. They will do their best to shower everyone with good fortune. Fortune: +8.1%." But nothing else from that mod appears in the logs except for on boot up.
