If anyone has a issue with the ores not loading in a custom map, i found a solution: Just add the farm location in the last roll of the content file like the example below. Then The FMT will load both vanilla and custon changes:
Thank you so much for your comment, it might help a lot of people, but, this may not work on all farms, because some farms use quarry tiles for decoration (which would cause ores to spawn in random places), or have quarries that don't use quarry tiles. So if any farm is not compatible, let me know in the comments.
Small bug with SVE. It doesn't cover the full quarry. I'd imagine this change works fine with vanilla map too.
Fix: Search inside “[FTM] All Quarries Are Better\content.json” for 106,11/130,34 and change it to 106,11/130,38. Search inside “[FTM] All Quarries Are Better Cinder Shard\content.json” for 106,11/130,34 and change it to 106,11/130,38. Search inside “[FTM] All Quarries Are Better Radioactive Ore” for 106,11/130,34 and change it to 106,11/130,38.
this is almost a month later but if that ore mod uses ftm; it takes all files that needs it and does its best to incorporate them all at once. you can edit the file on the ore mod instead and ftm will try to adjust the math for you.
if it doesn't use ftm then you might still be able to use this but you would need to put the items exact internal name on the list (its not always the displayed name but probably is) and essentially follow the format of the rest of them.
Is there a way to add the mining areas from the Walk to the Desert Mod be affected by this mod as well? I thought maybe I could add them like pinguimbozo suggested but I am worried about breaking something
I haven't found any way to get a config.json done, but if you want to edit the mod settings during your gameplay you can go into content.json and go to "Ore_Spawn_Settings" and edit as you need. (If you do this be careful not to break the mod)
Hey, I want to change the spawn chance of some of the ores. I found the area in the content.json, but I was just wondering what the numbers mean? For example Iridium at level 10 has 10 next to it. Is that 10% chance or is that a weighted probability? If I want to make Iridium more rare can I just lower the number? Thanks
I ask because I got to level 10 in mining but those are the only minerals that don't appear, and the only mod I can think of that might be affecting it is SVE.

i got for a while an issue with a custom farm map from DaisyNiko or better say 2 farm maps from her. One is ''Blackberry Fields Farm'' it spawns random ores everythere not only in the quarry and the second is ''Overgrown Garden Farm'' but here shouldn't be ores at all, it has no quarry on the farm and no FTM file.
But it's not only this 2 Maps '' Hippos Cliffside Falls Farm'' has the same issue. I using this farm in moment as mods testing, since i got sometimes issues with mods ~lol

EDIT: Okay it's not ure Mod what cause the problem.... but i don't understand why i got still Ores in the non quarry map like ''Overgrown Garden Farm'' since i put ure mod out for testing. Here an other example maybe someone get a clue out of it since me got no idea why T_T.... P.S. : It happens on standart maps too like ''Beach'' map and ''4 Corners''.
I checked carefully now with ca. 11 different files and mod in and out from folder lol ^^'' And think i found the culprit it is ''Hippo's Cliffside Falls Farm''. I checked it with ''Blackberry Fields Farm'' too and this caused no problems at all with rdm ores spawn in other maps.
Hi, do these maps replace any farm in the game? Else I'll have to make a new file, and if the map uses "quarry" tiles, the ores can spawn in random places.
Yes. ''Hippo's Cliffside Falls Farm'' i replaced it with ''Hilltop Farm'' (can be changed) and has custom quarry. But since i don't use this map (or don't have it in the mods folder) in moment, i have no issues with random ores at all.
The ''Riverland Farm'' i replaced it with ''Blackberry Fields Farm'' for the moment (can be changed) and got no random ores and has custom quarry. Same goes for the ''Overgrown Garden Farm'' it replacing the ''Forest Farm'' (can't be changed) but has no quarry at all.
But when i put the other Farm back (''Hippo's Cliffside Falls Farm'') i got random ores again and thats little bit strange. Since the default Beach Farm from Vanilla got no quarry at all and it was there too also the random ores.
It's an SVE farm mod that replaces normal farm, from what I understood from ur description this mod affects all quarries and if that's correct the one on the farm is unaffected
