Stardew Valley

To enjoy the full functionality of the Garden Village Expansion, you will need to apply some patches to other mods.  With the latest version of Shop Tile Framework, all crops and recipes will be automatically shifted from the vanilla shops to the Garden Village shops.  However, to change the default state of the BigCraftables (machine blueprints) you will need to apply patches.  The patch folders contain only the changes and do not contain the full mod.  You will still need to download the full content mod first.

You will find the patches inside the folder labeled ".Changes to Other Mods" in the main Garden Village folder.  Do not rename this folder.  This folder name starts with a "." so that it will be ignored when SMAPI loads your game.

If your computer won't let you view folders that start with a "." then you can download "Changes to Other Mods" as an optional download on the files tab on Nexus.

As of August 28, 2020, Garden Village has patches for Baker's Life, PPJA Artisan Valley, and Industrialization for PFM.

Patches for PPJA Mega Pack [Even More Recipes, Fresh Meat, Fruits and Veggies, Mizus Flowers, More Recipes, and More Trees] are no longer needed.

Detailed Steps

1.  Download at least one of the above-listed mods (and dependencies)
2.  Open the ".Changes to Other Mods" folder inside the main "Garden Village" mod folder.
3.  Select one of the folders, for example "[JA] Baker's Life" and "copy" that folder
4.  Navigate back to your main mod folder, then navigate into the main "Baker's Life" folder.  This folder contains two folders: "[JA] Baker's Life" and "[PFM] Baker's Life"
5.  Select "paste" next to the "[JA] Baker's Life" folder.  You will get a prompt that there are 2 files with the same names.  Choose "replace the files in the destination" to overwrite the files.
6.  Repeat these steps for the other mods to finish applying the Garden Village patches.  The patches will change only the json files and leave all the images untouched.
7.  If you want to remove the patches, just download the original mods again and replace the altered files.

If you had previously applied patches to the PPJA Mega Pack mods [Even More Recipes, Fresh Meat, Fruits and Veggies, Mizus Flowers, More Recipes, and More Trees], you will need to re-download the original mod and replace the altered file.  Otherwise, some of the seeds and recipes will show up twice in the shops.
