With version 2.0 of Stardew Realty it is possible to use Additional Farm type mods as expansion packs. The ability to use Additional Farms depends upon how the author of the Additional Farm Mod implement their mod. Some of the mods have been "optimized" so that their assets are only available if their mod is the chosen Farm Type. Mods that make their assets available regardless of whether or not they are the active Farm can be used as expansion farms. I have tested a number of mods, not all, and the list below shows which I know will work and the ones that will not work.
Compatible
- Azure Springs
- Kisaa's Wildflower Acres Farm
- JP's Farms - Bigger Desert Farm
- Lost In The Mountains
- Waterfall Forest
Non-Compatible
There are additional Additional Farm type mods available, I have just not had the time to verify all of the currently available mods. If you try out one of the non-listed mods please comment below as to whether or not the mod works.

I've added:
Meteor Farm https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/17113
Marsh Meadows Farm https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/13802
Marine Farm https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/23978
and Mystwood Homestead https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/30465
They all seem to be working fine so far.
I also briefly added the Frontier Farm from SVE but this only half worked as I had it as my main farm too and the map over the bridge seemed to be shared between the two. When you crossed back over having entered from the SR added extra farm it sent you back to the home/main farm. It would probably work ok if you had one of the other SVE farm maps as the base, such as Grandpa's Farm or Immersive Farm.
