Thanks for spending time on the mapping! :) I've been using your complex mapping since 3.16 / 3.17 which has been fantastic, can't find myself willing to go back to KB + M with it! After 3.23 messed up gamepad modifiers I stepped back to wait for your update, although the simple map gets us back in for Invictus, I very much prefer the complex map with modifiers / double tap and hope it can return.
I think BusterScruggs had found within STARC-111874 that it was possible to use preferred binds with the modifier but that we'd have to set them in game, export the XML, and correct the errors within the XML.
Would love to know why CIG claimed killing the modifier was intentional and not a bug even though the default gamepad layout picture in the settings still shows it. Hard to effectively map the bunches of functions without it and a huge regression for sure! Figures I ended up upgrading to a Dualsense Edge just days before they wrecked the modifier function lol.
As an avid console player i became super familiar with your controller layout and found it perfect for flying ships and would switch to m/kb for on foot gameplay! Going to try out your 3.23 simple layout but would deffo prefer the modifier and double tap layout in future if you could work one out.
Thank you for spending the time mapping! its greatly appreciated
Hey Cr4y7 is there any chance I could maybe temporary add you on Discord or Steam? I would love it if I can remap some of the controls to make it a bit more similar to the Elite Dangerous one. Tried to tinker with it my self but I just ended up breaking everything ;(
Thank you very much for your excellent work! I have two questions: 1. The "fire weapon" is set to R1, and "throttle foreward" is set to R2. Doesn't it mean I cannot shoot and move forward at the same time? Or should I learn to use my middle fingers for the R2 and L2 buttons? 2. I want a "SpaceBreak" mapping, so I can fly decoupled in relative safety. Is there a way to easily edit the xml file for that? PS I run on linux, which has inherent dualsense driver, so I don't need to deal with ds4windows :-)
Yes you will need to use the index finger for R1 and the middle finger for R2 during space combat. You can easily change any mappings in the Star Citizen settings and export them to the xml file (with the same advanced menu I used in the video to import them). Happy new year!
I have extra buttons under the gamepad that duplicate any button, I have a boost on the cross. So all control axes and boost are always available without modifiers, very convenient and intuitive
I was wondering if there was a blank Template for reprinting custom ones, I rebound a few and found it to be effective for AC
LS up/down - Throttle LS left/right - Strafe
Trig's - Roll Modifier + Trig's - Up/Down Strife
Gyro Down - Reset Power Gyro Up - Max Engines Gyro Left - Max Weapons Gyro Right - Max Shields
Same layout as power triangle as seen in ship.
Just wanted to reprint with new bindings as this is a very badass setup you have made sir, appreciate all the time and effort. Tried to use a xbox and was missing too much functionality, thanks again
By blank template you mean the controls file or the diagram figure? You can modify the diagram figure using the source files in the zip archive, on draw.io.

NOTICE FOR 3.23
Due to the current keybind issues, I have remapped everything using no modifier button or double tap. This means a number of quality-of-life bindings are missing (select primary weapon, select gadget, ...), but generally I am surprised that this mostly works out ok. See the updated notes. Let me know if you prefer the old complex mappings or the new simple ones!

edit; managed to turn it off in the DS4 windows program by editing the profile.
mod endorsed, thank you for making this available to us

RS - pitch, yaw.
LS - left, right, throttle.
L3 - down , R3 - up
LT, RT - Roll
Could you assist?
Plus there are 2 'function' buttons/tabs kinda under the sticks, those could be put into service as well.
LS up/down - Throttle
LS left/right - Strafe
Trig's - Roll
Modifier + Trig's - Up/Down Strife
Gyro Down - Reset Power
Gyro Up - Max Engines
Gyro Left - Max Weapons
Gyro Right - Max Shields
Same layout as power triangle as seen in ship.

Thanks for the suggestions!
