Hey I could use some help reconfiguring my buttons. I want to set lean to L2 + left stick left & right. The game is not acknowledging my inputs. I think i need a @ui_cifps code added please. Can you help?

I got couch citizen to work in 3.24.

i used jule's 3.22 layout. my right and left analog didn't work, so i couldnt walk nor look around.
I updated rewasd to the latest version and tried all sort of different button layout.

my fix was to change rewasd virtual layout from 360 xbox to xbox elite.. its the middle wand bellow the xbox button layout display in rewasd.

let me know if anyone else is having different type of trouple

I had an issue when in FPS mode where the joysticks lag or it's hard to turn. I fixed that by making my movements and camera mapped as the actual controller sticks while the rest of my mappings (the buttons and trackpad) bound to keyboard keys. Is this an issue you ran into?

Only thing keeping me from using this is that I have a regular XBone controller, not the Elite. Anyway to make this work with that controller?

Just gotta remap the actions that would otherwise be bound to paddles (jump, crouch, etc)... Might have to move others to make room for em, I did away with [ and ] for accept and deny contract, and dropped flashlight/headlight and medpen... that freed up a and b to be jump (space), crouch (C) and prone (now M). Hope this helps!

For the Xbox Elite Series II, I had good luck with resetting everything to the SC defaults.

Instead of using reWASD I used the Xbox accessories app to map A, D, CTRL, and Spacebar to the paddles, and it worked fine during a couple of quick cargo missions.  I also used the app to change the stick response curves to my preference, and gave it it's own slot to sit in for now.

I have not tried it with FPS yet - but since the default keyboard/mouse keys are different for lean, I expect it to be different.  For the curious, the default gamepad SC binding for lean is Left Shoulder button + Left Stick button (push in) or Right Stick button (push in).  Dunno if it's persistent or "press n' hold," as I haven't tried it yet. May need to do it a second time to return to center if it's persistent.

With the ongoing SC improvements to gamepad controls / Xbox accessories app and no word from the author in 6+ months, I think I've got my replacement until (or if) they return.  Safe travels in the 'Verse!

Nope.  I also messaged him through Nexus Mods on Thursday, and it's still showing unread.

It looks like CIG updated gamepad support, so I'm slowly working my way through what the defaults are.  I may try setting up a new reWASD profile to map the paddles in the next few days.  Will update here if it's successful.

There is a good chance that patch 3.23 is going to break this when it goes to LIVE later this evening.  Quite a few keybindings have changed; if you're comfortable with adjusting those you should be OK, but I'm not sure how changing Master Modes will work - may need to use mouse/keyboard for functions like that until (If?) this gets an update.

It's broken on an existing install.  Will try a clean install later tonight or tomorrow, but it's completely unusable if you try and just update then play.

With a clean install, I could at least walk around New Babbage... sort of.  Ended up using mouse/kb about half the time on doors and elevators, 'cause the gamepad just didn't work.  No clue on how it'll handle switching master/operator modes.

IMO, this isn't usable in 3.23 in it's current state.  Shame - I much prefer a gamepad vs fancy flight doohickeys.

elevators do work but you have to use 3 buttons, back y and rb, to open elevator just use y, y seems to be interact for doors, ship seat,
cant qt drive without b on keyboard, am gonna try savaging in a bit and see if that is broken

Resetting to included blank profile then re-applying jules config kinda worked for me. There are still some bindings broken such as :

      • Crouch that changed from left control to C => I will change the keybinding in game to revert to L-Ctrl
      • Cruise control completely unusable ==> probably mapping left shoulder + left stick click to Alt+C should do the trick
      • Second weapon group that now maps to precision mode ==> not sure for this one as precision mode is not togglable afaik and you need to keep it pressed
      • Changing mode with SCM or NAV through middle click is not mapped to anything (although double tapping the left shoulder switches to scan mode) ==> probably changing to double tap on left shoulder should do the trick
      • Cycle master mode (long press)  ==> I remapped to Left Shoulder + X
There are probably others that I either don't use or will be broken as I play more. The above are merely workarounds and Jules would most likely come up with a better setup, let's hope our saviour will come back :D

Do you happen to have EVO access? I do and there are a few keybind changes.  Namely the left trigger likes to go to the new zoom feature for flight as seen in Citcon 2023.  Don't know why they did that, kills Weapon 2 to which they have bound to the same key.

Yep, 3.23 is open to Wave 1 now, and there was a bunch of changes.  I crashed out before I could make any helpful notes... but if the author has been away from SC since the last update, there's a LOT to like about 3.23 so far. Hopefully this will go from a Work-In-Progress to a 3.23 update soon!

I can't get the xml files I added to show in the star citizen control profiles. Anyone else have that issue? I double checked I put the xml files in the correct location multiple times

Using the new SC launcher? Might need to clean up the C:/userprofile/appdata/roaming and find the rsiclauncher folder and delete it. Since this is a couple of months post they did update the new launcher granted it's currently for wave 1/evo testers.

Hi there. Love the work you have done. Question: why isnt jump on A and crouch on B, then hold B for prone?

That is standard with all FPS games using a controller.

It’s so you don’t have to take your thumbs off of the sticks to press buttons, so much better having jump and crouch on the paddles.
