Do you happen to have EVO access? I do and there are a few keybind changes. Namely the left trigger likes to go to the new zoom feature for flight as seen in Citcon 2023. Don't know why they did that, kills Weapon 2 to which they have bound to the same key.
Yep, 3.23 is open to Wave 1 now, and there was a bunch of changes. I crashed out before I could make any helpful notes... but if the author has been away from SC since the last update, there's a LOT to like about 3.23 so far. Hopefully this will go from a Work-In-Progress to a 3.23 update soon!
I can't get the xml files I added to show in the star citizen control profiles. Anyone else have that issue? I double checked I put the xml files in the correct location multiple times
Using the new SC launcher? Might need to clean up the C:/userprofile/appdata/roaming and find the rsiclauncher folder and delete it. Since this is a couple of months post they did update the new launcher granted it's currently for wave 1/evo testers.
I want to use this SOOO bad but I when I go to install the 3.17 profile when I go to select GamePad -> 1: N/A shows up instead of it saying GamePad again. I cannot figure out why this is happening. Here is a link to a reddit post with a screenshot showing the issue. Thoughts on how to correct?
I have this exact same issue, the couch citizen setup has been awesome, but a few days ago this happened to me to. just made a forum post here about it and I hope someone clever figures this out. sad but kinda glad it's not only me :)
I have 3 gamepad sections and the same issue with sticks in normal mode - they don't do anything in terms of movement/camera. I just got the game and really want to play but I'd rather get this sorted out first so I can learn it properly...
This most likely means SC isn't recognizing your controller. Best thing to do is restart your computer. See the Known Issues section of the Read Me for other tips to prevent this, chief among them is this:
- In ReWASD, Go to Preferences > Gamepads and toggle off or on the checkbox for "Hide Physical controller when virtual one is created".
*You want to delete the additional gamepad instances so that there's only the first one. 3. Save the file, boot up SC, load the saved control set and see if you can edit it properly now.
Thanks for responding! I deleted the extra gamepad instances in the xml file and restarted my pc.
The issue with going into reWASD and hiding the physical controller:
If it's toggled on (hidden), I can't use the sticks for movement/camera, but everything else seems to work fine.
If it's toggled off (not hidden), the sticks work fine for movement/camera, but button inputs are doubled, making every input extremely finnicky, which causes a lot of problems.
I've tried editing the reWASD profile so that the main layer has LB, RB, etc set to None - I thought I previously had issues when I tried that, but it seems to be working as a fix right now. I guess I'll be back if I notice issues with that solution.
Thanks so much for this mod! Aside from the technical issues I've been having, the logic of the controls is great!
Not sure if you're still supporting this mod, but just wanted to thank you-- been using it since 3.15 and has made the game so much better for me. Ended up grabbing sticks as well, but this config is still used everytime I log on. Many thanks again, Citizen-- hope we'll hear from you again at some point in the future. o7
With all the mining changes in 3.19, I struggled with it earlier today. If you're not into mining, should work fine for bounties and such - but you'll definitely need to remap yaw to the right thumbstick in SC.
For Linux you can use AntimicroX (you can get it from AUR or Flatpak), Steam (Enable Steam Input) also has similar remapping capabilities if you have added Star Citizen to Steam.
You will need to understand what he has mapped to each button to, what keystrokes he is emulating, how he shifts layouts so you can replicate the same in AntimicroX.
For this I hopped into Windows and grabbed screenshots of the mappings from reWASD, once I finish the mapping I may be able to share the profile assuming someone hasn't already in the forums.

That is standard with all FPS games using a controller.

A few patches ago CIG made changes that changed it from Gamepad to N/A, I don't know why. But it should work.
Left and right sticks not recognized or any buttons except paddles in normal mode.

If that doesn't fix it try this:
- In ReWASD, Go to Preferences > Gamepads and toggle off or on the checkbox for "Hide Physical controller when virtual one is created".
- Manually open/edit the XML file for your keybinds. Look at the devices section near the top; you should see something like this:
<devices><keyboard instance="1"/>
<mouse instance="1"/>
<gamepad instance="1"/>
<gamepad instance="2"/>
<gamepad instance="4"/>
</devices>
*You want to delete the additional gamepad instances so that there's only the first one.
3. Save the file, boot up SC, load the saved control set and see if you can edit it properly now.

I wonder what's causing your double inputs...
