About this mod
Adds iron back to the terrain generation for tiers 3+, also adds titanium to terrain generation for tiers 5+.
- Permissions and credits
Iron and titanium can be used as building materials. A player shouldn't have to be forced to go alll the way back to the weak low tiered sectors, wasting precious fuel, to collect these valuable resources. That's where this modification comes into play.
Stick this mod in your mods folder and it will edit the way ore generates. It allows iron ore to generate in T3+ planets at a rate slightly rarer than Alpha sector, so if you want to goto a planet rich in iron, Beta is still your best bet, but you have a choice now. Similarly with titanium in T5+ planets, it generates titanium at a rate slightly lower than Gama, so Delta is still your best bet for lots of titanium.
But do you want to waste the fuel to go back to those sectors when you can dig them up in the X sector? If you don't have this mod, there is no other option. With this mod, there is.
This mod also adds a refinery recipe for titanium ore and bars. 20 pixels per ore, for when you might get an excess and don't know what to do with it all.
This mod doesn't affect preexisting planets, so go explore after you install it.
