    So i did exactly what you instructed but when the game launches, it gets stuck loading past the menu (Clear sky ABR Mod), any fix for this??

      GPU: RTX 3050 4 GB VRAM (laptop GPU)
      CPU: i5-12500h
      Ram/memory: 16 GB RAM ( 8x8)
      storage: 512GB SSD

      I was scrolling down through this post here and for one, the x64 and x86 doesn't really do anything cuz problem still persists, however there was this one fix you mentioned before about integrated graphics needing to be disabled, i tried it and it works, although i'm not comfortable with that method cuz what if my dedicated GPU suddenly dies? So i'm not sure with this method being safe, ill try to find other solutions that doesn't need any part of my hardware disabled and not risking of losing my laptop.
      But thanks for the work and being dedicated trying to find solutions to let people play your mod.

      The x64 and x86 are needed to make this mod launch where it can. The problem you have is more about hardware. Have you tried launch vanilla game is it the same or only the mod has problems? About integrated graphics, it can always be switched on via bios and if GPU dies suddenly I think laptop will have CTD anyways. There was some update for gen11 CPUs, I guess it was about this problem. But we can't commit this code, we don't have it. The point is on older CPUs, win10, everything works as a breeze. Old games are very often a pain.

      It sounds funny, but you have too cool CPU to play this mod, hehe :)

      well that's a shame isn't it, sometimes having a bit of a beefy hardware can ruin the fun in older games, i guess ill have to stick with the method of disabling integrated graphics but then turning it back on constantly until i finish Clear sky, but would that cause issues on my hardware if i turn the integrated graphics off and on constantly after saving clear sky then playing it later?

      Edit: about your previous questions, it worked fine vanilla clear sky with no mods without needing to disable any hardwares

      Welp. Then you discovered this mystery about the mod not launching. The question is do you really use integrated graphics? Your 3050 sure is more superior. I suggest you to get into the matter youself and just google "Should I turn off integrated graphics" and make a desicion should you do this. I don't have a laptop, so I can't say. Is it good or bad and is the mod worth it. You just need to find info what this action will do globally to your laptop and is there any side effects of it.

      Well for gaming laptop users, we need both the gpu, dGPU and iGPU, however ill just use the method turning off integrated graphics when playing then turning it back on when i save and play for later, that's the only way i can do so far, played  around 30 mins with your modpack, it was beautiful.

    I guess it's a minor thing, but "OTs 14 Groza 5.45" exist in this mod? I can't modify regular Groza to 5.45 ammo and not found a uniqe one, so....
    But whats more important you cannot add any scope to Groza, making this weapon less preferable.

      There is no ammo rechambering in the mod though. I can't substract any walues via upgrade, and having Groza shooting 5.45x39 with power of 9x39 is imbalance. I'll re-add PO4x34 scope back later in the update, like I did in COP.

    I really like this mod. Clear Sky always has been more of a shooter than a survival and with this mod shooting is actually fun. Also the economy in the game is done surprisingly well. I played on last diffuculty and loot&sell every weapon and done all quest, and I have never found myself in a situation where I have too much money.
    The only problem is that the game become to easy. Not because of shooting, but because of a reduced spawn. Shooting is satisfuying and makes you want to shoot more but enemies don't spawn or spawn rarely. I know that in the original game spawn was very agressive and soldiers on military checkpoint respawn imidietly when you walk to far away, but now they don't respawn at all. And not only militaries but mutants also. The Faction war is also became easy. In the original game fight for Depo was really chalenging because there was many bandits on different positions. With mod there was only 5 bandits on the ground level and that's it. Very quickly i found myself in position that there is no single enemy on locations.

      Your english is ok.

      The simple thing is I can't make perfect game out of unperfect vanilla CS. There always be compromises, this or that, that or this. I plan to try cut out faction wars on next big update and make mutant spawns, but without people screaming every time "MERC, HELP US!!!". But this is just my dreams. Since I don't know will it be possible, technically CS is very scripted, that's why militaries on cordon and snorks in red forest were so aggressively spawning, they spawned each time you go away for 100 meters infinitely, and CS has no a-life basis like COP. Anyways, now game is playable, not perfect but playable.

      The funny thing is GSC never fixed strelok in the end of the game. That's why I made him be finished very easy with 3 shots. It's much better than find him somewhere below on the ground on CNPP.

      Also, in new update weight limit will return, and you will collect money from stalker bodies. Weapons will be unsellable. I'll try to make artifact hunting profitable like in COP.

      So my big plan is exactly as you said - to make more mutants running around but this can be done only if faction war will be cut out, and it's not working so good anyways. I know world is dead now but it's not that annoying as in vanilla. OFC if I will be able to do all those changes. Modding is not that easy.

      Anyways, thanks for the post, I see that there is reason to try new things. Since all those vanilla fanatics only scream why you change things, as if I don't have right to mod this game and give the mod for free if it is not as they wanted.

    Hey man

    I followed all the instructions but i can't get to launch the game.
    I tried launching the game without the mod it works perfectly but with the mod it just gets stuck on the "Stalker CLEAR SKY ABR CS MOD" picture that shows when launching and then nothing happens. If i hoover my mouse over it looks like it isn't responding.
    Please help... I can't get a crash log because the game itself isn't even launching...

      Lately there are many such reports. Do you have windows 11? Try to install required components, both x86 and x64. I think your OS miss some visual studio distributives, since mods engine were assembled with a a bit higher, than vanilla. Though, all the lings are there.

      I have windows 10 and I installed the mod on steam Clear Sky and everything worked ok. I wish I could add some solutions, but people just come here, tell me about this problem and never appear again, so I could to know how to fix this. The only thing was one dude didn't installed GPU drivers on his fresh OS and mod didn't started. Besides that I don't know what's going on on your end, since I am not dev and I don't have any reports from your system.

      But the problem is in your OS. It doesn't launch exe, try add it to antivirus exceptions, since it is modified, may be it is blocked. This is basic windows drill, the thing is I don't know how to make it work since it is working for me and doxens of people at least.

      Also, try to turn off integrated graphics of your CPU, this helped to some on read it.

      And since nobody ever come back here to help with this problem, I am in hell of answering same questions over and over again and trolls call me toxic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I just tried to install the mod but it doesn't start. I have the steam version of the game and followed the instructions here:

    When I try to start it shows the image in the center that says '' STALKER CLLEAR SKY ABR CS MOD'' and stays there forever, i literally leaved it there for 20 minutes and it doesnt change a bit or crash. If i start clicking on it eventualy closes itself, but theres nothing at the crash log.

    It can be something with steam or there's nothing i can do? I have windows 11 by the way.

      Check required components to be installed, both x86 and x64 versions.
      Check is exe file still in game folder, add it to exceptions for anti-virus\defender, may be it's blocked since it's modified. Or even the whole game folder.
      Some user said he has clear formatted PC and didn't install GPU driver.
      This is clearly some OS issue on your end.
      Try launch unmodded vanilla will it run ok?

      This is really play the guess game.

      I just installed CS from steam and launched it with mod on latest win10, no problems. Something wrong is on your end. Try to reinstall the game and mod and all required components. Can't help.

    May i ask why the minimap is turned completely useless? it does neither show enemies nor how many NPCs are around you...

      So you find enemies yourself. You always can unpack the mod and revert any unwanted changes on your own.

    Love this mod! Just two questions...

    1) Is there a way to reintroduce weight? I like the survival aspect of limited weight and would love this back in.

    2) Is there a mod that adds medical / consumable animations that works with this mod?

      1) Only unpack the mod and tweak things on your own. This version of the mod is shooter orientiered.
      2) I never used such mods, so I can't tell.

    The game crash 1 second after I click it, Stalker actor modifier can crash the mod?

      You tell me. The mod is working from the box and has no such a crash. This weapon section is present. I don't know what you are doing there.

      You can try it, PYP applied some fixes to make it playable (or at least less crashable}, but it still might be buggy, I never use DX10\11 in stalker games, since there are no real benifits and many things are even worse compared to DX9. After switching DX9 to DX10 and backwards lighting might break up and you'll have to click fix lighting in the menu, that everything I can say on that matter. Even big modders like Alundaio thinks the same about DX10\11, they are just half-working numbers.

      Thank you for the reply @alanberserkrose . Just one thing more what type of AA would you recommend? DX10 msaa + alpha is the best, DX9 doesnt have that. Forcing through nvidia drivers causes shadow corruption.

      I can't say anything about that. I don't bother about anti-aliasing in stalker. I just use DX9 recommended and happy when game don't crash.

    Hi! Is it possible to make same sensitivity (control inertion factor) for all weapons? Usually I would just go to gamedata folder and change weapons files manually but there is no gamedata folder here.

      You can unpack mod's db files with stalker data unpacker and make it on your own.

      I see some people doesn't like this "like in real life" feature, may be I'll make minimal sensitivity to all weapons in the future update.

      Yeah. On the paper swing of the gun depending of its size sounds cool, but practically it looks meh. I catched myself that swinging PKM is unbearable. May be it's for balance, but probably it's just a pita.
