Mod is compatible with the 1.1 game update - in the next few days I'll be updating the mod to provide more comprehensive fixes to ensure all the input oddities are properly corrected.
I couldn't get this mod to work, but I figured out a fix that worked in my experience in case it doesn't work for you. It might be user error, it might be the game.
Preface: With all respect to the folks that have posted their own fixes in this comment section, they do not work after the latest content update (AS OF APRIL 2025) due to a slight restructuring of the file structure of the game within the bounds of UE5. As a result, it broke some of my own custom configs and some configs of others.
1. Go to:C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows Look for a file named "DefaultInput.ini". If it's not there, you can create a text file, name it DefaultInput.ini, and move to the next step.
2. Paste this into DefaultInput.ini: [/Script/Engine.PlayerInput] AxisProperties=(Key=MouseX,Scale=1.000000) AxisProperties=(Key=MouseY,Scale=1.000000)MAKE SURE TO SAVE AS DefaultInput.ini. DO NOT launch the game yet.
4. Go back to: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\WindowsLook for a file named "Input.ini". This file should be there (but if it's not, you may create it)
5. Paste this into Input.ini. [/Script/Engine.InputSettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False RawMouseInputEnabled=True If the file is already populated with text, paste this ABOVE whatever is in that file. File, Save, exit.
6. Launch the game. If it doesn't work, please reply.

Why it works (I think): Initially the post from DeusOmnipotens worked for me, until I had to update the game to the current latest version which broke This Mod and DeusOmnipotens's fix. Hierarchies for certain files were changed around (from what I understand from someone who's WAY more versed in UE5 than me) and now DefaultInput.ini outranks Input.ini in terms of what gets read first.
Aside from the mismatched X/Y coefficients, there's still the matter of really constricted and sludgy mouse movement. ViewAcceleration (which I assume is used to help balance their weird aiming scheme) should be turned off with RawMouseInput being set to True. Raw Mouse Input in most games for most people doesn't need to be turned on, but if you want the cleanest and smoothest range of motion with your aim, it's a solid choice.
I am currently editing the Stalker 2 PCGamingWiki page to remove content and links that point towards Lyall's Stalker2Tweak fix/mod, as their GitHub and Nexus pages are gone. Without going into all that, one of the issues listed as "Fixed" on PCGW is the X/Y axis mismatch, with a link that points towards the content I am removing due to dead links.
Would you mind if I posted your steps to fix this issue on Stalker 2's PCGW page? I actually just tested your fix out and it does indeed work! I'd like to attribute this fix/tweak to you, as well!
(Quick edit: I'll avoid updating the Stalker 2 PCGW page with your fix until I have your permission because I think I'd have to link a reference to this forum post anyways, and I wouldn't want you to think I would take credit for your work!
I tried this on patch 1.5 and it does not appear to work for me. Vertical sensitivity feels like it is at a much lower magnitude than horizontal sensitivity.
Posting for anyone who's trying to fix this on 1.5.1 - I noticed the biggest difference with this posters suggestion, it doesn't feel perfect, but it is much better.
Didn't they fix the symmetry issue between X/Y camera sensitivity in one of the recent official patches? I had issues at release, but it feels better after playing update 1.1. Did the devs not fully fix the issue like you mod does?
Just installed patch 1.5 and it does not appear to be fixed. This mod also does not appear to do anything anymore. Interestingly enough, vertical sensitivity is equal to horizontal for gamepads.
☝🏻 here my experience. I have this ''aim sensitivity problem'' since day one, no MOD have risolve this (no even this MOD). but looking in internet and forums I found this lanes that have help me.
in Input.ini file in "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows" set this :
Please advise, I don't remember what I did before, but earlier my mouse sensitivity was sharp and controlled, and after updating the game and mods, the sensitivity became as smooth and dragging as in the original. I'm a bit confused with all this.

If I am wrong, please correct me :)
Thanks to DeusOmnipotens!

I don't go to Nexus often, so I'm sorry that I missed your message
This mod is useless now.
[/script/engine.inputsettings]
AxisConfig=(AxisKeyName=‘MouseX’,AxisProperties=(DeadZone=0.000000,Sensitivity=0.01,Exponent=0.20000,bInvert=False))
AxisConfig=(AxisKeyName=‘MouseY’,AxisProperties=(DeadZone=0.000000,Sensitivity=0.01,Exponent=0.20000,bInvert=False))
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
bViewAccelerationEnabled=False
In AppliedSettings.cfg %localappdata%\Stalker2\Saved\GameSettings, changed these settings:
MouseSensitivityCoef = 0.05
AimMouseSensitivityCoef = 0.05
this have basically fixed my problem.. hope this can help.
Go to: Driver: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows
Open Input.ini with Notepad.
[/Script/Engine.InputSettings]
RawMouseInputEnabled=Enabled
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False
bViewAccelerationEnabled=False
and Save it.
