Do you mean this scene? Unfortunately this one is rendered in-game and cannot be replaced like the others. Same goes for the scenes of freeing the playable characters.
yeah that one. didn't know the scenes of freeing characters don't work either since i had the mod off when i released Sheila testing some other mod. such a shame.
btw don't suppose you'd be interested in doing the same mod for Crash by any chance?
Yeah I really wish those scenes could be replaced too, but at least other mods will show up in those scenes like model swaps, color changes and whatnot. As for Crash I'm not sure if the N'sane trilogy uses pre-rendered cutscenes like this game but if it does they could be replaced. I don't own it on PC though so unfortunately I can't figure it out.
Yes it can be done for sure. If I ever get the time I can do it, it's all a matter of getting the beta versions running on an emulator correctly, then recording the cutscenes and editing them. I'm not sure though if the widescreen hack works well in the beta versions to record them in 16:9, but it could still be done in 4:3 if necessary.
sooooo much better. it goes to show you don't need high-quality cutscenes to make a good joke. Reignited cutscenes are too childish and exaggerated so having originals play instead is perfect. there is one issue though with the sound. it's so much more quieter than the actual game. would it be possible to tweak that a bit to make it on the same volume level as the rest of the game?
Wow thank you for pointing that out! All this time I had no idea. I used to use the Windows loudness equalization setting for my speakers as some stuff was super quiet even with the volume all the way up. With my different setup now I have that turned off and I can totally hear the volume difference between these classic cutscene files and the reignited ones. I have normalized the audio in all cutscenes and updated the mod. Please let me know if they sound good now!
there is apparently no sounds for me during the classic cut scenes is this expected or maybe a glitch of some kind, There are subtitles during the cutscenes but they are all silent
Unfortunately I'm not sure what would cause this. My only suggestion would be to try reinstalling the mod and the game if you can. I reinstalled the game and this mod to check and it worked fine.
All of them except for the ones in Spyro 3 which can't be replaced since they are rendered in real time. Those ones are all the scenes where you free the playable characters from Moneybags and the one where Hunter and Spyro have a run-in with Bianca in Sunrise Springs.
