Mod name: BlackList Fov Changer
Author: Kaibz (https://steamcommunity.com/id/Kaibz)
Current Mod Version: 0.3

ChangeLog:

28/11/23: 0.3
-Changed the way the ini file path will be parsed to make it more reliable accross different configurations.

23/11/23: 0.2
-Fixed the camera not being alligned with crosshair in ads view
-There are still issues with the FOV, when set too high, will skip rendering of certain elements in the world. Atm i would suggest you leave the mod to max 95 or 100, to reduce artifacts.
-At this point i should simply remove this mod from downloads but as you can still use it to set the zoom fov i'll leave it available.

16/11/23: 0.1
    -Initial release

How to install:

1. Quit the game if it's running. Open the rar archive, put dinput8.dll into the game folder which on your computer should be something like this: ...Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist\src\SYSTEM, (bascically put it in the folder where the file Blacklist_DX11_game.exe is). The first time you launche the game a file called BlackListFovMod.ini will be generated.By default the mod will set the fov to 90 (default camera fov is 90 but will set to lower values by the game depending when the main character is).

2. Upon launching the game, if something went wrong you may hear a beep.

3. Once you have launched the game, the mod will also generate a file called BlackListFovMod_Log.txt, in the same folder as the .ini file or in the ...Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist folder, which will log potential issues. You could also paste the content of this file if you want to file a bug report in the bug report section of the mod's nexus page.

How to Uninstall:

Simply quit the game, and delete dinput8.dll. That's it.

How to Use:

-Open the BlackListFovMod.ini file with a text editor, and set the fov and/or zoom fov to the value you want between the values indicated in the .ini file
-Save the .ini file.
-Alt tab back to the game
-press F8 once in the game, you will hear a little beep, and the Fov should now be to the value you set in the .ini file.
-Alternatively you can make the change you want in the .ini file, save it, and then launch the game.
-If you really want to change the key to reload the ini file you can. Possible keys: A-Z or 0-9 or F1-12, but other keys or modifiers will not work.
-Easy install: the mod will load automatically when you launch the game, you don't have to do anything.

Compatibility:

This mod is only compatible with DX11 Steam version of Blacklist.

Requirements:

This mod doesn't require any other mod to work.

Anti Virus False Positive:

As this mod uses a proxy dll, different libraries/hooks, it may trigger a false positive in some anti virus. I
am in the process of releasing the source code of all my projects (starting with Wolfenstein New Colossus Qol mod) so you can either not use the mod for the moment, reverse it or wait for the binaries releases)

Questions:

Q: when i set the FOV higher, some elements in the world are not rendered
A: there is unfortunately nothing i can do atm as i can not find any variables or function related to culling, clipping planes, lods....I understand that the mod value is greatly disminished by those issues.

Q: the mod doesn't launch what do i do?
A: check the BlackListFovMod_Log.txt and let me know what happened.

Q: I have messed up the .ini file what do i do?
A: Just quit the game and delete the .ini file, a new one will be generated the next time you launch the game.

Q: Donations?
A: No thank you, but if you have a game on Steam you want to gift, that would certainly be appreciated, my profile is: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Kaibz/
