First thank you for your work i love it, started to get back in spintires and this mod is freeking A+++ I have two questions: 1) Can you use reshade with this i have treid but i dont think it loads in as i cant get to its ui. useing ver 5.10
2) i would love to able to press F3 and toggle the ui but i can not, i looked in SpintiresPlus_config yes i can turn it off, but no toggle.
I don't know if it's just me or the mod doesn't seem to work with 1.3.3 update (came out Aug 1st)... the first time it would give me random freezes if the cursor is pointing at vehicle in the selection menu, and then it crashed when I pointed my cursor on a modded vehicle called OKA-1111, and the second time I tried to load Volcano with Bregel's cars, and it crashed again when the loading screen comes in. Pretty disappointed, because I'd love to have this cleaned vision your mod provided.
RE-WRITE AND REVIEW with images: This will make you feel deep in the woods and not feel in the open all the time. This is a very complete package that installs easily, looks and functions better than the original game, and works with most mods. Trails are actually overgrown and some narrow. Dirt roads have drainage ditch sides. There are more trees, bushes, and grass. Grass is taller and thicker. You will hear chainsaws in the distance and better brake squeal. There is no color fade, no bad lighting, no DOF blur, no excess fog, and more. There are many fixes, the game is ready for track vehicle mods, most everything is visually improved, zoom unlimited, developer console. It keeps original maps, adds remakes, adds new maps of different types. It looks better than my modded Mud Runner. (Mud Runner has better controller reading, less vehicles with inside view issues, the UI is improved.) I think both games have no clouds and no weather.
You can edit SpintiresPlus_config.xml to remove developer console, allow keyboard to activate hood view, etc. You can edit media.zip/strings/yourlanguage/game.txt to remove HUD items. You can replace TexturesCache.zip files for a better winch cable, hook points, and such. I would find better water splash mesh and texture files for this mod too. See my images that show overgrown trails and clean immersive display. In app-data/roaming/spintires/config.xml you can make control changes. To change the shifter I had to put the mesh file and texture file directly in the folders and I had to delete lines in spintires/user/config.xml. Now I use manual shifter so it is not visible anyway. If you get the big white circle on your screen navigate to steamapps/common/spintires/texturescache.zip and delete file env_sky.dds or replace it with the same from Mud Runner.
I added images. Send advice if you can. I am curious, do you prefer Spintires over Mud Runner? Are there other mods that you use personally? Just wondering.
