Changelogs
Version 0.2
Added the "Expendable" tag to all temporary units that didn't have it already.
Tweaked some bodyguards, especially to reduce the number of Undead Mages for undead units.
Added the Fire Beetle as a bodyguard and used it on the Wyvern (instead of the small Jelly).
Version 0.1
Added initial changes. Only partially tested with my own save games.
Inspired by the High Goblin Muckamuck's Bodyguard trait, this mod modifies all Tier 2 and Tier 3 units with new default attributes which spawn temporary Tier 1 units in battle. Tier 2 units get a single bodyguard whereas Tier 3 units get two bodyguards (except Spider Queen, which gets three).
In general, the bodyguards fill the opposite role as the primary unit. Ranged units get melee bodyguards; melee units get ranged bodyguards. However, there are plenty of exceptions to this rule, usually where thematically appropriate. (The High Goblin Muckamuck is changed to have a Goblin Archer instead of a Brawler.)
This is expected to be very imbalanced, but hopefully fun.
This should work with existing save games and can be unloaded safely too. (None of the new bodyguard traits were added to the level-up options.)
