You won't encounter any Scythe Strain Boss Fights except for Chapter 03 & 04 & 07.
"Easy Mod" only edits the spawn rate of enemies and is therefore most likely compatible with other Last Light of Dawn Mod players, even if they do not have "Easy Mod" installed.
This means you can join other mod players even if they don't have "Easy Mode" installed. And they can join you.
