that sounds like an error occured during world load. you should be able to check the log files to see the error. Feel free to send me the entire log or just the error so i can look into it. Discord is probably the easiest way to do that, I'm in both the SRML and Slime Rancher Community servers
Unsure if this is best suited as a bug report or not, but for some reason the latest version (1.2.4) causes my framerate to be halved most of the time, with it dropping down to 15FPS at the worst of times. I don't get great frames with Slime Rancher as is but at this point I just expect that with Unity games, but this was definitely worse than usual. I did process of elimination but confirmed the issue was the update, since rolling back to the version I was using before (1.2.2) made the problem stop.
All I'm getting that repeated and seems out of place if I pop open a console is "Skipping deserializing spawn time, as it's missing." No other issues or errors that I can see unless I'm looking in the wrong place.
I wonder if for some reason my game or my computer just doesn't like the new rendering method feature? I am running the game through Proton, but I can't really see why that would be causing the issue since otherwise the game runs identically to how it did on Windows for me and it's just this one mod at the moment (the QoL mod did do the same thing but my FPS was like 9, but I ended up just opting to remove that since obviously my game was just not having it). I ran more tests of adding the update back and removing it again and the results are consistent so I really have no idea either.
Absolute best guess is it has something to do with the rendering feature and the bug fixes, but how in the world that changed anything is beyond me. Maybe my garbage GPU just hated anything added to what it was already running even if it realistically should not have made a difference or maybe it was Proton somehow, it is a mystery. I'm just glad it was magically resolved with the update, even if how makes absolutely zero sense.
