Listen y'all Since cirena hasn't replied to me in a while I think it's safe to assume that we're not gonna get any new version in the near future and even the possibility of getting a new version is open to controversy. As I am not a real modder I don't think I'll be able to continue the development of it by myself sadface

Mod uploader has quit modding and I'm unsure about the crash. Maybe there's a conflict with another mod you have that changes the entrance to the castle.
Just FYI everyone, as of this date, the uploader confirmed they quit modding skyrim a year ago so I don't think we can expect any further updates or fixes to this port of the original mod uness someone else takes up the reins. Looking into doing that myself to see if I can get the ballroom/dinner event working.

no clue if its possible at all but imagine moving the Volkihar Vampires to here and have their story played their. Idk if it would mess up the quests besides finding Valerica and such
It's been a while but the castle doesn't exist in the Skyrim worldspace. There's a big gothic style gate on the far south of the map south of Falkreath up on the mountains. Go through there and you'll be taken to the big spooky forest where the Castle is situated.
One, Will you be getting the new update that cirena made in 2020
Two, with the ballroom event, I have noticed I have not been able to get it to start when activating the event, I sit in the ballroom after pressing activate on the scrolls and nothing happens
First of all, this Castle is amazing! Spent a lot of time just wonderings around. However, the description said that the castle would be under attack? Dosen't seem to be anything here? I've talked to Commander C and Commander of the guard but there no dialogue option.
Any Ideas?
Does it just become a player home via entering it?
It seems the original mod that this one is ported from received an update that is a good 18 months newer than this one. Not sure why the update didn't get ported over, but the newer version might have events that are more functional than this version. I'd try downloading the newer, LE version, run it through your CK to port it, and see if that helps things. Cirena has stated she has no plans to port it herself, and is aware that ports of earlier versions exist. She doesn't seem to mind if people do it, but if you want to clarify, try reaching out to her. I think she's still active on here.
EDIT: I think you'd also have to run the LE assets (meshes, etc) through the SSE optimizer to fully convert it. Sorry it's been a few years since I'd done any ports myself. It's an easy process. Lots of tutorials around on how to do it.
Honestly I'm not even sure what the issue was. It's hard to remember, I think I just keep trying to reinstall it. EDIT: Actually yeah I remember, I was using this in tandem with the another mod Raven Castle War, that mod overwrites the original mod, making them incompatible/ erasing the original mod completely.
I cannot get to the castle. :( I am going down the path, find the cathedral and when I continue down the path the game CTD at the same exact spot on the path :(
