The steam layout has nothing to do with MO2. It has to do with Steam. if you explain in more detail the issues you are having/what inputs aren't working I can help find the problem. Also the troubleshooting section of the mod page is very helpful too
First, thank you so much for this mod. However I’ve followed instruction's to a T & it’s working but I’m still having issues with R3 activating target lock on while swapping POV. While holding R3 to change POV it always locks on to whatever’s on the screen as soon as I click R3 for the hold input. I’ve applied it on Steam, changed controls to default, checked everything multiple times & still nothing, suggestions?
Unfortunately that is just unavoidable with the current setup. I honestly never even considered it being an issue since changing POV is a pretty rare thing for most player. Also I'm pretty sure that you untarget once the POV has been swapped. But if it really bothers you because you swap POV's often or something, then I suppose you could rebind change POV to somewhere else. Either by using the optional layers for extra inputs with Wheeler layouts #3 and #4 or by replacing an existing input on a base layout. Heya! since I don't plan to really use prone, could you tell me how I could change certain keybinds? like for example the l2 for all forms of block and the left attack and the l1 for the heavy attack?
Please help…this isn’t working for me, everything is working perfect aside from the R3 target lock/POV change. POV is supposed to only change when I hold it however it changes even with a click, meaning that I go from third to first person whenever I lock on to something, it’s unplayable. Please help?

I have fixed the issue! Please apply the new steam config for whatever layout you chose and the issue will go away. Sorry for the multiple replies, it took me a little while to find the source of the issue.

I am having some issues with the new update; I am not able to normally zoom in/out in 3rd person like before by pushing RS and adjusting with LS. I am also not able to go prone by holding LS. Can you confirm is this is something on my end or the mod please? Thanks.
First thing is make sure you have one of the three included Smoothcamera presets enabled because those are what enable the camera functions. Second, you typed RS and LS but the camera controls are a combo of your activate button and RT and LT so just want to make sure you are pressing the right buttons for it. Third, if the prone isn’t working this could only be because you don’t have the steam config applied I believe. That also could explain the camera controls not working. So I would just use the link again and reapply that. Let me know if any of this helps!
I am using the Soulsy HUD layout 2 and tried with all 3 of your SmoothCam presets. Prone still doesn't function for me, I only go into stealth no matter for how long I press LS. As for the camera, I can use your toggles for zoom and shoulder swap fine, what I meant was vanilla zooming in 3rd person like by using the mouse wheel. I can't do that anymore since your update. Before I could adjust the zoom "manually" by holding RS and adjusting the zoom with LS.
Ok that “manual” adjustment actually was not intentional, and lead to many other issues so it was removed. You should still be able to do it with the actual mouse though. Also if the zoom in and out feature and shoulder swap features work that means the stems config is applied so the prone should work as well. Try holding the minus button on the keyboard when you are crouched. This should make you go prone. If it doesn’t then you either don’t have the true prone mod enabled or potentially need to run nemesis to get the animations to show up again or something. ok ty for the help. The "manual" zoom was really useful as many actions/animations from different mods mess up the zoom level. If you find a way to re-introduce it in a future update it would be good, in the meantime I'll try to get used to using the mouse for that. My issue with prone was because I ESLified the .esp and didn't update the .json file. It works now. Keep up the good work!
Well essentially if you want to add that feature, you will need two extra inputs. One for zoom in and one for zoom out. So you would need to get rid of two that are currently on the layout as I have used every possible combination of buttons possible essentially. So if you have two inputs you are ok with not having, or have an idea of where you would want the zoom in and out to be I can help you set it up. Just message me on discord.
This would be perfect for me if you had fixed what nobody else seems to want to fix... R3 SHOULD NOT BE CHANGING MY GOD DAMNED POV AND LOCKING ON TARGETS!!!!!!!

I agree with you that changing POV on R3 can be annoying, this is why I has made it a VERY long hold for the switch to happen. Have you actually tried the setup yet? I have a special way I have separated the two inputs so that they really don't interfere anymore. AND if you still think it should be a longer hold, let me know and ill show a simple way to increase that hold duration. But there really is no room to move it somewhere else since every other viable button and button combo is being used.
Yeah no problem! And do let me know if you want the hold duration for POV change increased! It is a simple change in the steam config I could walk you through.
