This is one of my favorite Mods.  I did play the original on PS and it is as close a match as you could make in Skyrim.  I play this every year in October.  I wish someone would pick it up.  after beating it and going back through to explore I love finding all the hidden secrets.  I Won't spoil it.  You do have to use console commands to get through the skull gate and it was started at some point.  Zarock is even in the game kinda.  @KorinOo please come back!  or if someone can continue the work!  I want the Magic Sword and the chicken leg that turns people into roast chicken!  BTW if you are stuck explore or talk to the NPC's!!!  or read!

Am glad I finally played it, it was a delightful exprience! loved the new mechanics you added and the atmosphere is just lovely and perfectly halloweeny. It's quite impressive how custom it is for a 2015 mod. Am sure people who grew up with the original game got nostalgia overload XD

Finally getting around to trying this and I am unfortunately really disappointed.

I really, really wanted to like this mod but I guess it's just not for me. The total lack of quest markers or any real indication as to where you're supposed to go or what you're supposed to do makes this unplayable.

I got stuck less than 15 minutes in. A skeletal hand asked for a runed tombstone, which I couldn't get because it was locked behind a gate that needed a key. I searched the entire area at least 3 times with no indication as to how I was supposed to open it.

After getting through the gate with a mod that lets you climb, I got the tombstone and got through the gate that the skeletal hand opened. Now I'm completely lost again. There are 4 branching paths but none of them seem to lead to anything of relevance.

It sucks cause, it seems like a lot of effort was put into this mod. With the voice acting, the new assets, the music etc.

But when the actual gameplay experience is a complete clusterfuck of confusion and lack of direction, that just ruins the game for me.

Am sorry in advance if I sound rude but you are pretty much to blame here considering you obviously didn't bother to explore, what is actaully a slightly bigger Whiterun sized erea.
I never played the original MediEvil and pretty much got stuck only once and that was simply solved with the good old method of "hit a thing" which ironically characters in the mod tell you so. (the skeleton you meet right next to the rune you mentioned, where you must also do a similar thing) There is absolute zero need of a quest markers or extra mods considering the map is basically an elaborate but ultimatley straight path that can be down in about an hour or less.
Now to answer to a few things:
the key to the door you were stuck on was in a shed less than a minute behind you, ther's a girl ontop of a pole with zombies trying to get her, once you save her she pretty much tells you about it after one or two dialogue enitiations.

the rune as said you simply have to hit the grave and you are told so by the skeleton.

to progress to the next erea you simply have to hope on the obvious rock way that's in the river then the way to the next erea opens automatically (or more like rises)

I won't spoil anymore, give it another try and if you get stuck in a puzzle read the steam discussion or in LE edition version's forum which offers the solutions.

And to answer some potentially tricky parts that come close to the end of the mod. When you find a particular music sheet, you pick it up after you find it's potential owner not the very moment you find it and use the clulk and scroll on the round thing next to a door.

That's about it, most of other puzzles are basically for unlockables and weapons which again all can be found through exploration.

Does anyone know if this works with Skygerfall?

      To answer my own question:

No, it doesn't. At least, not in the way I was hoping. This mod overwrites Skygerfall's starting location change. Which is unfortunate, since this mod can be played after the start of the game but Skygerfall is meant to be played at the beginning.

Just tried this mod out in a very basic VR build and so far so good. It's amazingly nostalgic moving through gallowmere in VR! Great work!

This is by far one of the best made mods for skyrim. Sad to see this is the only one you made though,  truly great stuff

Had to deactivate Alternate Perspective, otherwise had an infinite load. But it was worth checking this mod out because I enjoyed it a lot and was saddened when it came to an end, I so much wanted to play more levels of this. While I only very briefly played Medievil for the PS1, not even past the graveyard part, this mod actually made me feel like I was playing that game, okay, obviously not, but a very nice Skyrim replica of it and actually felt like a really good playable demo of what could be.
