I have both Inferno and Embers XD, as well as STAC. Since I load embers after inferno I assumed the version I needed was the stac + embers one. This resulted in the torches having white flames.

The version that did work for me was the stac + inferno one though. Figured I'll leave this here for other people having the same issue.

      Hi there.
Yes, if you chose Inferno flames during your Embers XD installation you actually end up with the Inferno torch, not the Embers one, even though Embers is installed afterwards.
So the Stac + Inferno version is the one you'd use, as you've discovered yourself.
I'll pin this post for others who might run into the same issue.
      Thanks for sharing.

Could you make a BOS mod to change your model with pfuscher and mathy79 models? :)

Mathy's mod does not cover this torch (I use their mod myself), so nothing to use there unfortunately.

Pfuscher's mod I actually used myself for a long time, it is a beautiful model, but I found it a bit to fancy to fit the more rustic locations in Skyrim.
But, using BOS to add it only to appropriate locations like castles and temples, now that I think can work.
      Thanks for the suggestion.

I cannot believe it's you again. (yes I can <3) Scoured your profile and grabbed a few more of your mods and woah... THIS WAS THE ONE MOD I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR, FOR WEEKS. That stupid metal wall torch. Had no idea what to search to find a mod like this! You really are a life saver. Absolutely endorsed again.
I don't know if it is necessary but I would add something of "torch scone" or something similar to the title so more people can find this! More terms to find this mod would do it the justice it deserves. Thank you generous soul. Couldn't be more grateful.

It is genuinely great to have someone this appreciative for one of my mods

The naming for this mod is a bit difficult as the "torch sconce" is actually the removable versions' name (the one I cover in my other mod: Higher poly vanilla Torch Sconce). The mesh name for this torch is actually torchpermanent01.nif, hence the name I chose for my mod page, but yes, a more descriptive title might be a good idea.

I've actually been considering adding ENB support. Will add it to my to-do list.

@Pieter82 Any chance for a Embers HD + STAC +Enb light + Inferno combo ?

The non-STAC version of Embers HD seems to be compatible out of the box (no conflict with my mod).
For the STAC version you can simply overwrite Embers HD with the appropriate version, for your load order, of my mod.
Regarding ENB though, I'm still considering it. It will mean creating separate ENB versions for all the options already available and it also doubles my work in the event of an update. All for something I do not use myself. I'll need to find a way to integrate ENB into the existing meshes without it causing issues if you do not use ENB, and I'm not sure if that is actually possible.

Just out of curiosity, why are you still using Embers HD instead of XD? Even Mindflux (the creator of both) was surprised to find people still use HD when I asked for permission to make patches for my blacksmith forge mod

@Pieter82 I'm sorry I'm dumb, just copy-paste from the guy above comment, I'm using Embers XD
That's fairly enough, when you are interested and have free time, go for it. ENB options would be very much appreciated by many users for sure !

Because there is an information on the Internet that it's less stable then HD. I don't know for sure, why, though.

      Hi Preyka.

      Thanks for the reply.
I have been using Embers XD for years now, and maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never had any stability issues with it.
The polygon count is quite a bit higher than HD, so I can see why you would want to rather use HD if you're trying to save on performance.
I personally can't go without it though, for me, its totally worth the performance cost to enjoy those beautiful embers ;D

Something was conflicting with my perma torches, causing them to have a white dome on top, I'm glad to happen to find this as it fixed that issue easily, and looks good too!

Although I would like to suggest for the wooden part to be of darker tone, just so they don't catch my eye while exploring darker dungeons with these torches around.

Glad to hear it sorted your problem.
I'll consider adding a darker wood texture as an option.
      Thank you for the suggestion.

I apologize if I am just missing something simple but I am getting a blue square when using the stac/embers xd version or the just embers xd version (vanilla version works fine). I have both embers xd and stac installed.

    Picture of it

Edit: Oh my, I figured it out lol. The option for torches was not selected in the embers installer - ignore all this.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL THE DETAILS EVERYONE ELSE CHASES. ALL I KNOW IS THIS REPLACER GETS RID OF THE STUPID SHADOW FROM THE VANILLA TORCH IN THE ABANDONED PRISON THAT NEVER MADE SENSE.  THANK YOU FOR THIS REPLACER.  :-)=

Well then, I'm glad to hear the replacer has another use other than just looking different from vanilla

What's the poly count difference? unless you wanna show nif comparisons :3

      Vanilla is 505 triangles.
      My replacer is 3520.
So, about 7 x the poly count. In my defense though, the vanilla mesh is VERY low poly

great work, this model is awesome :) BTW, the torch attached to the pole is one of the most comical and unrealistic things I've seen lately :D

      Thanks Wizkid!
Really nice getting positive feedback from such an accomplished modder as yourself.

The pole torch is from LUX Via, it's used in the same manner as the road side lanterns from Lanterns Of Skyrim. I never really thought to much about them... until now that is

it's a pleasure for me, you really deserve everyone's compliments, that model is spectacular. Regarding the pole with the torch attached, I always prefer realism but I realize it's not a priority for every author.
