I initially wasn't able to get the launcher working and was about to give up when I decided to check your source files to see if it was running skse64_loader.exe. As that is the executable that comes with SKSE now that you are supposed to run to get the script extender working. Looking in your C# I noticed it just ran SkyrimSE.exe and so that's why it was never working for me. It simply ran the regular executable and not the script extender one.
So I tweaked the code so that it now checks for skse64_loader.exe and runs that instead of SkyrimSE.exe if it exists. Otherwise it will just run SkyrimSE.exe as a default fallback. I then built and ran it and it works like a charm now . I can run it from Steam with no issues.
Working fine here not only reduced the start-up lag with skse+meh321's SSEFixes&DLL Plugin Loader with the recompiled dll back to normal. To be honest it was only around 25 sec delay. Better yet I can now use AMD's Profile Monitor. Before it would just crash Radeon Settings when hitting Ctrl+Shift-O minimizing the game when doing so.
Hi and ty, Sadly. for some reason this mod is not working as intended for me. As per instructions, I renamed and even zipped the original launcher and used this one instead, but I am still getting the mod/ahievement warning, and my saves are still getting flagged with {M]. I'm using Skyrim SE v1.4.2.0.8, if that helps.
Sounds like you are at least able to load Skyrim, so that's a good start.
Did you install the Achievements Mods Enabler by xSHADOWMANx mod as well? This launcher doesn't include his mod, and it sounds like the mod enabler plugin isn't being loaded.
Here's a link if you haven't got it yet: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/245/
I had only your launcher installed when I wrote my post here. And yes SSE was loading fine, but Achievements were still disabled.
Since then, I have already installed the Achievements Mods Enabler to test (which consists of the DLL Loader, the DLL itself and the txt file). And that one worked.
I just thought your launcher was standalone as an alternate method to achieve the same thing? Your description only implies that much or maybe I am confused?
Hey, thanks for the update! Nah, just a launcher by itself to work with the achievement enabler. I'll see if I can update the description to make that more clear. Maybe I'll PM the Achievement enabler author and see if I can include his with mine.
You still need the DLL loader required by Shadowmanx's plugin. My launcher just bypasses the launcher screen and gets you directly into Skyrim without the need to rename the executables.
Isn't working for me at all. Does it require something special, like SSE to be installed on drive C? Do you have to be using a particular controller? I mean the instructions were pretty simple. I followed them and the game never launches. What gives?
No, doesn't need anything special- you can use this without the need for a controller or even the need for the Achievement enabler.
Is it possible for you to send me a screenshot of your Skyrim Directory? I have my Skyrim directory on my D drive under a custom folder, and as long as the launcher is in with the main SkyrimSE.exe file, it should work.
The only thing I can think of is that it is not setting the directory properly. I'll see if I can put in some logging, but I might not have an updated version for a few days (busy weekend!)
Ok, try the new version, I had a stupid error in the code that I must have placed there after the original executable testing. Not the way I wanted my first Nexus file debut to go!
That's great! Let me know if you run into any other issues. Yep, seems to log the time played against the Steam counter. Just did a quick two minute test, then shift+tab'ed to the overlay, two minutes played today!
Sure, I got other issues. Are you more of a theologian, psychiatrist or philosopher? I can't get Oblivion or Fallout New Vegas to run properly in the latest version of Windows 10. Those are issues, real issues. I can't find a way to enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online and I don't play well with others. How are those for issues? But as for what you've given us here, I no longer have any issues.

Awesome job endorsed !
*edit* and Achievements Mods Enabler of course.

Odd, let's see what we can dig up!

I have successfully launched with it. Seems as if you have fixed whatever was holding it back. Thanks!
Does Steam still log my time being played?
