The horizon is never beautiful (not because of your mod, it is awesome) because it seem really empty but If you could make the background a little bit blurry with some fog .. that could hide how ugly the graphics are at distance and give us the feeling that the closer details are more focused, like a depth of field effect? because the far landscapes are not beautiful :/ Thank you for reading my suggesion
Tried both of them, but didn't add them to my recommended mods list because they still suffer from quite a few bugs. I'm using "True Storms Special Edition - Thunder Rain and Weather Redone" for weather instead. Anyways my preset works fine with VividWeathers and ELE. (ELE could get a bit dark tho)
Yes, it works. The steam menu appears. But if you use your mod, no. Is there anything that prevents you bring up the menu. Maybe some of the files setting?
Tried it with and without, as admin and everything. Didn't show up. So asked a friend, he experiences the same, it sometimes works for him and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it's related to reshade but to steam itself (or win10). Restarting your PC might make it work again.
Ok, so I guess this game is just much darker than the original....real weird. This is working as intended, I just have to maybe mess with my colors. ty
To be clear, we need FXAA on in the launcher options? And are you using any other mods when taking the screenshots?
I also have the issue HolyDeath did, it only toggles at the Bethesda logo screen. Once it reaches the main menu I get the Sweetfx/reshade notice in the top left, however toggling no longer works - nothing happens.
Looking at the file structure, it seems things are missing - for example there's no settings file any where - nothing to adjust or tweak. To test this, I focused on seeing whether SMAA was on. When I disable AA from Skyrim launcher, I get no AA (SMAA from your mod) in game. It's vanilla.
Go into reshade folder and then into the profiles then into Default folder. Once inside it open up global.ini file and change the following #define RESHADE_SHOW_TOGGLE_MESSAGES 0 //[0:1] //-Controls the display of an info message when the toggle key is pressed.
To #define RESHADE_SHOW_TOGGLE_MESSAGES 1 //[0:1] //-Controls the display of an info message when the toggle key is pressed.
If you are running SpecialK injector like I am the fix for that is to go into the My Mods\Profiles\SkyrimSE.exe folder and open the SpecialK.ini file and put the following in at the top.
You will need to change dxgi.dll file from this reshade to d3d11.dll for this to work. Then you can toggle the reshade like normal using F11 button.
This reshade 2.0 uses a different file structure and so does 3.0 they no longer have config files like they did in 1.1 version.
You must go into default folder found inside reshade\Preset folder in the game directory and open up the cShaders_by_CeeJay.cfg file to change any presets by hand.
Released v1.03: - Reworked file structure and cleaned everything up. Should compile faster now to prevent crashes if skyrim is taking to long to load. - F12 no longer toggles the Depth Buffer. (Not needed)
Delete ReShade.fx and ReShade folder before applying.
Okay I got it to work. Found out it was something on my end causing the hotkey to not work correctly. I use something called SpecialK which is a special injector for steam games that provides a lot of good stuff. Texture caching and other things. Just google specialK on steam and you most likely will run into it.
I wasn't going to use one of these types of mods in SSE, but this one I think I'm going to have to try. I like the way Skyrim looks but this seems like it just might give it that little bit of oomph it needs. Definitely love how subtle it is.
Sildur from Minecraft Shaders? Great! This is exactly what I've been looking for, just a subtle touch of some brightness, sharpness and contrast tweaks.
This happens to me on every other launch. I have tried with no mods and the same thing happens - a CTD, restart, and success, I do like the subtle reshade - it is the best (imho) so far (ok, maybe not too humble).
Reinstall directX runtimes: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Try renaming dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll Try to launch the game in admin mode. Still not working? Try to run the game in borderless mode instead of fullscreen.

Did you press f12? This toggles the depth buffer, while f11 toggles the preset itself.

Settings to adjust are in \ReShade\Presets\Default
Toggling doesn't show a message, it might just been to subtle for you to notice that something changed.
