Oh oh oh hiii! Omg i remember youuu! You were the one who gave me my first kudos!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe i happened to stumble my grateful self upon this comment!!!!!!!! So how does this mod work? Oh that was a stupid question to ask when i am replying to a comment that precisely said that the mod works splendidly!!!!! I guess i should get to downloading this now because im hoping it will end my suffering. The vanilla mining sound was so extremely terrible and unsatisfactory that the way it rang through my $2.45 headphones that i bought off of the black market was beginning to make my ears bleed! I hope this ended your prolonging suffering as well. ❤️🩹 stop by again!
What a wonderful mod --SFX always give the game a refreshing experience. The mix is solid, but the pitch doesn't quite match the props or the visuals. This sound feels like it should fit the archeology digs, as the sound implies smaller tools, less impact, and a more focused strike.
May I suggest offering a variety of depth and intensity? Deeper pitches imply heavier mass, a sharp attack still works with the pickaxe strike, and some dampness (echo or reverb) helps imply either a bigger space, or a space with a lot of reflective surfaces (like a cave).
I would be fun to use SPID (although I'm not adept at it myself yet) to give a variety of sounds and depth within a mining cave. These are just suggestions, I am grateful you gave attention to an oft-overlooked SFX. I will track for now. Thank you for sharing your awesomeness with the world!

I use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53788 which works fine with sse and alters the mining sound just slightly.
