"The restless dead" is preventing me from completing the Haldir boss quest and the quest is not moving forward. I don't know about the other two vanilla bosses yet, but there should be a version that removes the vanilla bosses from the quest requirements.
Thanks for the report, makes sense. Sorry for the inconvenience. You can spawn and kill Halldir with console if you wish to progress. Or follow these instructions to progress to next stage without defeatinh Halldir:
Type this to your console and press enter:
help vk_0seikkailuQ
It should return you this line:
But the first numbers of the ID that I highlighted in red will probs be different for you. Take the ID and type the following in your console:
Hi there! Upon starting a new save, I see that the Abjects quest only shows objectives for four bosses. However I see in the mod page that there are supposed to be 13. Are there remaining 9 supposed to be unlocked later, it is there something wrong on my end?
Objectives for the others are unlocked after beating the first stage. All of them do exist in the world and you can fight them in any order you wish, but the objectives guide you to them in waves based on their difficulty. So the first 4 are supposed to be the easiest etc.
Hello! Does this interfere with the Age of Silence (Shattered Skyrim addon) mods? I'm worried the quest NPCs may get attacked by one of the bosses, is all!
So I had removed the Shattered Skyrim as a master for this and made it standalone, and finally tackled those bosses using just the Grab and Throw mod which I've been kind of addicted to lately, while my character stayed at level 1, and I managed to kill all of them but the final two in Solitude since I had forgotten about the changes to the worldspace, different for Solitude since Shattered put all of the walled cities in the Tamriel worldspace (the one thing I hate about that mod).

Most of the bosses weren't too hard, a few good solid tosses of whatever (such as wine bottles or soul gems as a couple of examples) I had at them and they were down, knocked out into Oblivion. The easiest by far was Haldir which was defeated with just a single toss, didn't even get a chance to do his splitting up into the three elemental forms attack. While the lich at Half Moon Mill had me taking cover a lot, he dodged some of my attacks, I did the same while also having to deal with those flaming things that he conjures.
The scariest was Eldric the Frost Titan, first form was actually defeated by all of the bandits at Fort Dunstad, but the second form, I needed a different strategy since his health recovery was very fast, I had him chase me to Blizzard Rest hoping the giants could beat him for me, but even with a whole family of giants (gramps, dad, mom, kids) they were no match, but get this, after the giants were all killed the mammoths joined this titan against me, oh great, so I fled towards the mammoth graveyard, had me a better plan. The scary thing about this guy, he runs so fast and could have killed me in a single blow, but I kept running and jumping to avoid being smooshed, but since I was close to the Loreius Farm he got distracted and started slaughtering all of the animals before finally putting his attention back to me and I led him to the spike filled pit at Halted Stream Camp and he fell in, trapped, and once all of the bandits were defeated I was able to defeat this titan, which took a while given how fast he recovers health.
The other really tough ones which I may have not been able to defeat without even more extra help were the second form of the Revenant of Mara whom recovered health seemingly even faster than Eldric did and also moved pretty fast, so I led her back to Riften, hoping that she would follow me inside the gate, and she did, and given all of the people that are already there plus plenty of NPCs and followers that I have there, she didn't last but moments against all of them, I didn't have to do anything but tease her and keep her from hitting me. The Ebony Warrior was defeated the same way, though I think I could have handled him on my own, it was his assistant that made me have to flee with him in tow, and she showed up in Riften too and was defeated by the mob of NPCs as well.
And I stopped in Solitude, while I could have fought the general by going over the wall from the outside worldspace, I would have been fighting inside a lod version of Solitude, and besides, at that point, I found victory against that boss with just the Grab and Throw somewhat impossible given I was only level 1 wearing during the course of all of this the Maxi Armor, had no enchantments to help against that fight and no NPCs to assist. Didn't feel like going through the trouble of trying to figure out how to battle this new Potema, which I assume was still in the same place she is at for the vanilla game second confrontation which needs a quest key to get to.
I would have still tried for both of those bosses in Solitude, but had no idea what to do to put the general into the Solitude worldspace, maybe could have had some help against him even with the gate locking behind me, still probably would have died a ton since this guy has that powerful lightning beam and kills with a single hit and has all that backup in such a tiny arena, I know that from a half dozen or more fights against him when I originally did this with Shattered Skyrim, and I gave up (never fought the Abjects version of Potema).
I got videos, half of them uploaded yesterday, but youtube puts a 10 video upload limit (they want verification for me to do more) so will have to wait until later tonight to upload the other half. Since I am playing at 450x800 and using the xbox game bar for recording, they don't come out too well, okay though in a small window, but anything larger looks like crud. They may not be enjoyable or easy to watch, but anyway, got 'em up. Here's the first half in a playlist (will finish it later if able):
I'm still not sure how the damage is done with the Grab and Throw, most of the time it doesn't do too much, other times I can kill or close to kill a strong foe with a toss or two and then there are those times that it just bounces off of them harmlessly which is so irritating. I think the longer the item is held before tossing it the more damage it does, or not, and seems to do more damage when the enemy is in a vulnerable position, but I really don't know, even as much as I have used it, it all seems very inconsistent, being so, is one of those things that you gotta expect. And then there's the most annoying of all, dropping stuff from inventory just to have it drop behind you, or worse underneath you and you get hit and it goes flying off somewhere, but that part is a Skyrim issue, as such, just need a mod that makes it so items dropped always drop in front of you, I don't know if such a mod exists, but would certainly make it easier to drop things where they are supposed to be dropped.
That said, I came accross a problem: I killed the Undead General before I actually had the quest advance to the group that included him, and now slaying him stays uncompleted. May I at least have the console command that would complete this specific objective?
Thank you!
EDIT: Nevermind! Going to the Ebony Warrior and killing them completed the questline entirely.
I don't know if it's just me - or if I need to download something else - or if I have just missed something - but, I have been playing on Shattered for a couple days, and decided it needed a bit more life - or in this case undead. So I downloaded Abjects as well as Ashen Concordat.
I've noticed 2 things - one, my difficulty is automatically setting itself to Novice, and when I try to change up the difficulty, it auto resets itself back to Novice - is this intentional, because of the difficulty setting being set for the bosses themselves? If so, then no problem with that - but just wondering if this a feature? Also the other thing, it seems to be that Survival Mode is no longer working since downloading the Mod? Even though it's checked in game and I have reloaded. Is this again another intentional feature of the Mod that I have just missed?
I love the concept, just don't want to find out I'm getting it on easy (so far), when I'm just missing something XD
Omg no, definitely not intended. It's not supposed to change any game settings or change any records related to survival. Can you try to verify that it's this mod that is causing it? If you disable this mod, do these problems go away? And re-enabling it brings these issues back? If you downloaded other mods recently, I would try disabling them as well to see if it's caused by one of them.
Edit: and thanks for the kind words, glad to hear that you like the concept
I'm a bit late here, but this sounds like the SkyUI bug caused by the AE patch and fixed by https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106418 - not an issue with this mod specifically.
Didn't want to be the first one to submit a bug report but....
Two of the three bosses I've fought didn't transform properly. The first one in Whiterun changed into the big ass bone skeleton spider thingy but then the next two just remained the humanoid shape and scooted around the ground laying flat on their backs. Oh and after finally killing the second one at Half Moon Mill the body just up and vanished so I wasn't able to loot it. Any idea why they might not be transforming?
Most have only one form, I think a form changing gimmick could get boring if too many enemies used it. I tried to give them variance in their phases and kits etc. Although the early game fights are also supposed to be a bit simpler. Late game bosses have more distinctive phases.
I think the Lich's body disappearing is caused by a small visual mechanic that he has, where he can turn almost transparent with some flames outlining him, but if he dies at that stage, then the flames go out and his body becomes super hard to see. Someone else reported this earlier and it's something that's on my fix list, but I feel that it's minor enough that I haven't rushed to patch it. The loot should still be there on the ground and his barely visible body, but unfortunately it can be very hard to spot.
Thanks for the report, I hope these issues haven't made you completely disappointed with the mod. Let me know if any other concerns come up.
Hey, been using the mod for a couple of playthroughs. It runs perfectly and i haven't ran into any bug yet. I love the Undead General boss fight, it caught me so off guard.
I don't know if you take requests but is there any chance there could ever be something like a Calixto's sister boss fight?
I just imagine something like him taking advantage of the panic caused by the dragons invading the city, grabbing a bunch of corpses, and the result is him failing the ritual by rushing it, so his sister would just end up like one of the flesh atronachs from Mihail's mod but sounding like a clicker from TLOU.

Appreciate the idea, I might add some fights in the future for sure. I'll keep this in mind
In my play through, they were all level 67 (which was just about double my level). I don't know if that scales.
Creative unique opponents, with some nice drops. This is a worthwhile mod. Thank you!
