    Sticky
Your exponential leveling in the Mini Mods is causing my new game character to level so quickly that I'm already level 20 in Riverwood

It slows leveling at lower levels, not increase it

somehow it increases it by a lot for me. One hit, be it sword or shield bash, levels up that skill.

It's probably interacting weirdly with another mod. If you have mods that affect leveling, perks, or similar try disabling them.

I don't have mods that affect leveling or perks and I went from rank 5 in 2h to rank 51 just by fighting the first two imperials with Ralof.

This has really piqued my interest. I don’t have problems with this but I see people complaining on the Elegy mod page as well. Are other game settings related to the one I changed affected by other mods you guys use?

I have the same issue. My nord starts the game with 20 in One-Handed and after killing the two imperials in the room in helgen with the potion barrel it's already 34 and my character is level 3. xEdit doesn't show any conflicts or other mods changing the related game setting. But here is a list of mods that could possibly be related to an invisible conflict (all mods with settings are set at standard settings):

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Unofficial CreationClub Content Patches, Skyrim Misc Fixes Pack,
Scripts Carefully Reworked Optimized and Tactfully Enhanced (SCROTE) - Simply Optimized Scripts AIO,
powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, Vanilla Scripting Enhancements, Bug Fixes SSE, Scrambled Bugs, powerofthree's tweaks,
SSE Engine Fixes (skse64 plugin), Skill comments reconditioned, Brawl Bug fix.

I don't think any of these mods are responsible, but theycould change stuff that I am not aware of.

I use all of those except the reconditioned lines one and no issues. If you can jump to Skyrim.esm and look if any other game settings near the one I edited are affected I might be able to track this down.

I use the Sneak Rebalanced mod from here. Maybe that's it. Can't find anything else.

I just did a new test with AE. The only mods I had installed where USSEP and the Smoother Leveling plugin from your mod. Just those two. In the first room in Helgen during the tutorial, my one-handed went from 15 to 44. I gained 7 levels.

Reloaded the save before the fight and tried using Destruction magic. It didn't seem to go up ultra fast like the physical attacks did. Hope that helps narrow it down.

Man I really am stumped. It's definitely working normally on my game, I don't understand what the issue could be. I'll add a note to it since apparently it's causing so many problems. Stickied the post too.

Can confirm that this little file does in fact cause levelling to be increased way too much.  Can also confirm that disabling said little file so far has had no noticeable negative effects mid-playthrough.  Only disabled the little file (Smoother Leveling.esp, in Mod Organizer 2's Plugins list), not this whole mod.
I was wondering what was causing this for almost a week lol.  Forgot that I had read this mod's Sticky'd thread 2 months ago lol, well actually I mean I had remembered reading it, but forgot where it was since, until today. XD

"Removed Homecooked Meal Bug Fix from fixes as it has been fixed by the authors of a certain bugfix pack"

    Which bugfix pack exactly?

Oh, I got it. Seems like it was included since 2013 back then, according to its complete changelog. Wondering whether your version of the fix is better than that mod

Whatever you’re reading is wrong and out of date. I can tell you from maintaining a mod I cannot mention here that that team tends to just silently remove and revert changes at a whim and not say anything on the change log. The changes they made to the homecooked meal are totally gone. There was no fixing their improper fix or anything, it’s just gone from the mod.

IMO Tullius' armor is supposed to be heavy. Tullius himself has a rather interesting Imperial soldier class, which makes him equally proficient in both light and heavy armor. Perhaps, he is wearing light bracers and boots instead of heavy ones because they match the color of his armor better. And I personally always thought that it was made of bronze and not leather.
I would also suggest to enable Ennodius Papius. Just like Hern, Papius does have some unique dialogue, but since he only gets enabled during the corresponding DB quest, it will be overriden by his quest-related dialogue.

Can't seem to find the ghost shader plugin in any of the archives (latest version or 2.2+).

Thank you for the update! Can I just drop the esps I want into the data folder manually? I don't think I use any programs with BAIN installers. I'm looking forward to other updates and mods you may release. :)

Any modern manager can support BAIN installers, but yes you can just install them manually as well. I just put them into BAIN installers for tidiness.

Thank you for trying to do something about that awful passageway between the Palace of Kings and the Aretino residence. Most Windhelm overhauls don't help it much, so it bothers me every time.

It is genuinely awful. I really think it's the most unsightly mesh in the entire game, and that's really saying something.

"Alva is the only vampire in the game that uses generic human eyes. I get why Bethesda decided to do this, but considering there are other cases of NPCs who are clearly vampires that people apparently can't identify, I didn't see a problem with giving Alva the correct eyes. Her race is unchanged (just a standard Nord like Serana) and she now uses the same eyes as Serana"

Thanks for doing that, I couldn't find an Alva mod that gave her any vampire eyes when I kept searching for it

My interest was piqued by this comment:

By the way, bientje, I've dug into other parts of NPC templates and leveled lists and the USSEP either misses or gets other things wrong, as well.

For one, they assign a wrong template to the record EncThalmor02Melee1HFShield, giving it a 1-handed (spellsword) template as opposed to a melee+shield variant, while issuing it a shield in its inventory (which isn't necessary if given the correct template). The correct template should be EncThalmor02Melee1HMShield [NPC_:000F95F1] while maintaining the Use Inventory flag.

Two, this seems to have flown under everybody's radar for 12 years, but boss warlocks lack their proper perks due to what seems to be an oversight in templates. According to the uesp; or if you look up their individual (non-template) NPC records in xEdit; OR if you console-spawn them by their individualNPC record in-game; boss warlocks are supposed to have dual-casting destruction and impact at level 21+. But they don't because their parent templates, such as EncWarlock05TemplateBossNecro or EncWarlock06TemplateBossFire, straight-up lack the perks (while ALL of their individual NPC records have them), and they have Use Spell List flag, meaning they inherit their spells and perks from regular non-boss warlock templates. This goes for all them, elemental mages, necros, and conjurers. So the only difference between regular warlocks and boss warlocks are a few attribute points. I took some liberties in my game and restored the perks to the three elemental type bosses, seeing as how they're destruction-focused mages as opposed to conjurers and necros.

Not sure if this is worthwhile info for you, just thought I'd post it.

These would be more appropriate to take up with the author of Skyrim Misc. Fixes Pack, although I could fix them myself if need be. The warlock thing has actually been well known for a while but no has taken to fixing it.

Edit: it seems it actually partially fixes some of the warlock issues, not fully though.
