You could extract the mesh from that mod and point it to a different texture path. Then, download a chicken retexture for vanilla chickens, install and rename them to match the new texture path.
Alternatively, maybe you can ask the mod author of that mod to patch for Mihail's chickens.
Hey, I checked it out in NifSkope just to admire lol but it seems like it needs textures from his hanging chickens mod for the rope. I downloaded it just for the textures.
Edit: I figured I'd ask here because I saw your comment while looking for help on the CYC page, but would you happen to know how to convert this for the horse version of the CYC-SHO mesh? If not, I can just set up this model in IED for it but not having to keep track of one more errant broken mesh would be ideal. Thanks either way. Never mind, the preset I'm using uses the normal mesh.
