I won't have time until another day to try out a mod, and I like Caesia's original looks. But wow--judging from the photos, your creations are really cute, in a nicely 'realistic' way. Especially (for me) the gal with grey hair.... I will have to try the mod.
Grin, she looks youthful enough that her hair color must be a fashion choice, or the result of some frightening event.
[Note to readers: The following refers to only to the 1.0 version of the mod.] Tell us more about why there are many requirements listed (with the advice "just in case"). As far as I am aware, I haven't had to install resources like that for modded NPCs or replacers before.
Hey! thanks for the compliment i do inspired by final fantasy character design thus the semi-realism in the looks. anyway, just install my mod and the high_poly_head first if u haven't had that installed... and if u experience something like missing textures, then u can try to install the requirement. I did try it on my own mod list, and it work just fine but just in case if the mod didn't work as intended for other users. You can test the mod out by spawn caesia in the game by typing help caesia on console command before you meet her in ur actual save. But for now, i still haven't seen any report on such problem. so, there's no need to worry about the requirements.
[Note to readers: The following refers to only to the 1.0 version of the mod.] Darn, it _is_ a problem. When I install your mod, Vortex tells me there are 4 missing masters: it's looking for everything but Eyes Of Beauty, which I have an (older) version of. This means that, in order to use the replacer mod, I need to get a gigabyte of KS Hairdos. Yikes! I don't know how to make mods. But I know that there are many, many mod-added NPCs and replacers that use pieces from special resources (like KS Hairdos or such-and-such Brows, yes?) but that don't require the user to go get the entire resource. If I'm correct, could _you_ do it whatever way those authors do it? Surely many more people (including me) will be able to enjoy your mods if they don't have to also get vast resources.
I'm disappointed, because I was really looking forward to your lovely replacer. =)
I'm experiencing a minor issue with her hair (for version #2 with the light colored hair). Toward the top of her head, her hair is being partly transparent, which looks distracting. The only time I've encountered that issue before is with one of several hair 'armor' pieces (basically wigs, but labeled 'hair') that I've gotten because they were included in other follower mods. I'm not savvy enough to be able to track down what's causing it; I suppose it's some weird interference from some other mod I have? But it doesn't show up in my many other mod-added NPCs. I do have High Poly Head as required. (Looking up "Skyrim transparent hair" I see nothing definitive. There are some speculations that ENB might be causing it. But I don't have any ENB.)
When I equip your Caesia with a different one of these hair 'armor' pieces, with a similar light color to her own, she looks wonderful--thanks to your artwork. (So my problem seems easy for me to work around.)
i just checked it out and doesn't seem to have that issue... so it might be because ur load order... probably something overwrite the hair scalp texture... but if u found solution for it then i don't think it's an issue. Glad you like how she looks
I was surprised that the Hair (the wig-like thingy) that I gave her seemed to match the unusual color that you gave her. But I just learned, from a post by modder Xtudo, that wigs do magically change into whatever hair color the NPC has as an internal default. I did not know.
When I see a pretty young woman with white-ish hair, these days that makes me think of actress Jess Bush as Nurse Chapel in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, who is about age 30 with white hair and a playful, vibrant personality. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fg4r615mk1j491.jpg%3Fwidth%3D960%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dcd7eda16eac9e08af701a6071cdb7e036d0e4d31
For CaesiaReplacerV2, there is no hairline in 0001EE0E.nif (scalp is missing in both V2 and V3) In my environment, the hair is also translucent, probably because I don't have hairline or scalp set.
+ Setting the hairline properly in 0001EE0E.nif fixed the problem.
If Success32's discovery leads to creating an updated version of CaesiaReplacerV2, can someone advise me about the safety/risk of me installing such an update mid-game? I'm in the middle of a long play-through. I've been enjoying my journeys with Caesia and her Coaxnim look. =)
Since this is simply a change to the NIf file, there should be no problem. You can do this by copying 's4studio_mesh_3' from 'StarTideHl.nif' and pasting it into the 'BSFaceGenNiNodeSkinned' subgroup of '00000D62.nif'. Then rename 's4studio_mesh_3' to 'CaesiaReplacer02_Hairline'.
You've got talent for this, and a pleasing vision on appearances! This replacer does Caesia great honor. Sad that the follower hasn't been updated, and abandoned even I think, in ages.
Nonetheless, awesome work! Looking forwards to see this become a series, if you plan on making so!
i wanted to use v3 option, but caesia keeps getting a purple face and purpleish hair too. already put her to the low end of my modlist after even installing manually. the main mod alone is working flawless though. path error in textures? v1 is working flawless too!
help would be very much appreciated! (btw: looking forward to your lydia!)
