Updated the Mod to v1.1 which should help with some of the issues, I've again done testing and couldn't get the bug to trigger but again this bug is fickle and hard to trigger when you want to. more details of the update are in the description.
if things seems worst for you on this version please downgrade back to 1.0, and if the bug shows up please use the Bugs page here on the nexus to report it and include things like what weapons you're using, if they player or another actor is triggering it, and most importantly what the enemy is.
I found out that using this mod actually caused the invincible enemies problem for me (because I lack basic reading comprehension). I just play with executions disabled in valhalla combat, so downloading this mod some how forced them to be enabled and it bugged out every time i tried to kill a falmer, or a dvarwen spider in one hit. No hate for the autor, most certainly just my fault. I was watching a video about reworking skyrim's combat and both valhalla and this was recommended, so I downloaded both without actually having the backstab bug. For anyone that has executions disabled, try turning this mod off and then check, whether invincible enemies still occur.
This did not work for me. Sometimes my character will start the killmove animation, not actually kill the enemy, and they stay invincible for some seconds.
Thank you! I never had this bug when first install Valhalla. It just appeared after I started a new playthrough and no extra combat mod installed. Super weird...
For anyone having trouble with followers using the execution/backstab move. Install Violens, place it under Valhalla Combat and the fix from here, turn off all executions, that should prevent npc's from performing executions and making enemies invincible.

Your mod instantly solved it. Thank you! Endorsed.
