I'm not sure but I think if you want an MCM menu to show up you need files that go into the MCM folder right? because there are none of those files in your mod and I don't get an mcm menu at all.
Thanks for replying, yeah it has been a while since I got back into skyrim modding so I have other mods with MCM menus working just fine and they have an interface folder or translations folder but I think those are optional. I am using menu maid 2 mod and it normally works just fine with kicking menus or finding them but this mod menu just doesn't show. Could there be an incompatibility with menu maid 2?
I did download the mcm addon from optional files and the esl marked esp for it too.
I did not know Menu Maid 2. But it shouldn't be incompatible. Try the console command setStage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1. EDIT: you can type everything small.
Honestly the only thing this needs is a LL injection patch for idk like 1-3 fuel on each NPC that has a lantern equiped. Basically a LL injection patch for the fuel itself since we have already one for the lanterns. Regardless this mod is awsome for ppl who play with dark lighting mods and hate the overly bright day light during the middle of the night or cripts and dungeons unopened for thousands of years.
I love the idea, but it'd also like keep using the feature from this mod, would it be possible to force the lantern off state instead of unequipping it, when running out of fuel?
Sorry for late response. trancespotter has good ideas. Maybe troll fat/dwarven oil for the iron one; glow dust/glowing mushroom/nirnroot for the alchemical one and wisp wrapping/filled soul gem for the magic one.
I d like to point you at this mod: Fuelable Framework With it, you can assign any item as a fuel source for the lanterns from Simple Wearable Lanterns.

Maybe make each fuel last a different length of time depending on the ingredients.
