I put armor into the clothing slot, but when I changed it to something else, even though the new clothes were in, the old clothes are still applied. Anyone know how to fix this?
I would love to use this mod, and it seems to be the only one of its kind, but I can't bring myself to use it because of the "follower deletes their current armor entirely to put on a designated armor set" bug. Maybe if this gets fixed someday.
Same. This mod is broken because of it, and it was last updated in 2017, it's a dead mod. The only other ones I can find that allow me to *just* manipulate follower equipment (and nothing else) are for standard edition and I don't want to risk bricking my game because I installed barely compatible mods to it. Its such a simple feature, it should be vanilla but it isn't.
EDIT: Actually I may have found a better one. The caveat to this one is it doesn't uninstall cleanly. I'll see if it works and hope nothing breaks. Really don't want to screw up my game because this mercenary with heavy armor specialty is wearing light armor by default for no reason.
Form 43 plugins are modules that were made for Skyrim LE (Oldrim) and have not been properly ported to Skyrim Special Edition, which uses form 44 plugins. This usually results in parts of the mod not working correctly.
To be converted, these plugins simply need to be opened and saved with the SSE Creation Kit but their presence can be an indication that a mod was not properly ported to SSE and so can potentially have additional issues.
Online guides can have more information on how to correctly convert mods for Skyrim SE.
Followers Wear Any Apparel (Skyrim + all DLC) steam version works a little bit better in my own opinion so give it a try. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=351946534?
It's definitely the mod. It gives the follower basic (itemID) versions of the item and doesn't carry enchantments. Try any of the basic/default enchants and nothing works.
Doesn't work all the time but when it does work it is a great mod to fix the problem where followers unequip the armor you give them upon being dismissed
do they retain their outfits after being dismissed? I'm tired of watching my housecarl tromp around in heavy steel battle armor when her only purpose is to take care of my children while I'm off killing dragons n whatnot, so I have no use for a mod that only works when they're actively following me
edit: I found a mod that forces housecarls specifically to wear normal people clothes.
I’m thinking this doesn’t play well with my other scripted mods: frostfall, I need, ineed extended, and aft. I’m removing later tonight, will update if this mod is the problem child :P
Maybe I screwed something up when installing- I only ever get ONE outfit slot. Not matter which one I click, 1-5, in the dialogue, the menu comes up with Slot 1, and I've yet to find any way to select a different one. Otherwise, it's a great mod!
I'm having this same problem all of the sudden, did you ever get this resolved by chance? I want to say another mod is causing the conflict but I can't seem to isolate it using SSEEDIT.
This looks like a great mod. I am downloading it for the extra slots available in addition to the AFT slots. I have one suggestion though. I use Amazing Follower Tweaks even though I prefer the options and compatibility of EFF. The reason is because of the clothing options available in AFT. If you could make it so that this mod will automatically switch between a specific outfit preset when at home and in cities, this would make it so that players who use EFF would essentially have the best of both worlds.

The engine only recognizes certain enchantments on followers.
