I love finding ways to make Skyrim challenging rather than simply changing the combat difficulty. This is an amazing example of the mods I have been looking for and finding. I am very happy to have found this <3
Just a warning for those using CACO (Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul)! CACO also alters the way shrines and altars work: in CACO they give a 25% increased resist disease for 8 hours now. However if you use this mod, that effect won't trigger as this mod simply removes the Magic Effect applied, while CACO alters the Magic Effect. So either use CACO or use this mod, not both! Unless you want to remove the Resist Disease effect aswell.
That's a good idea, I do plan on putting together a survival overhaul mod list which would be nice to include that. Making alchemy or a spell that requires ingredients to cure a disease but for now we got this. If you were to add this to a overhaul mod list that makes cure disease rare that would be cool, but that's outside of my scope for now. I got a feeling though that its going to take forever for the next elder scrolls, so I do plan on keep coming out slowly with an overhaul, but if I do it will be done in a mods list using other peeps mods and my overhaul just fills in the blanks. Like using ordinator for the perks but then my overhaul just changes them, something like that. I might need permission for that but I would be down.
Should remove cure disease potions from vendors, too, and replace them with a book purchase option for the potion ingredients, so that you can only cure yourself if you find a cure disease potion in your travels, or learn how to make one and find the materials.
