Thanks for your efforts in making this. It seems to require some creation club mods, however, so I was unable to use it. You might consider listing them on its requirements, if their inclusion is intentional.
Spellforge shows up just like you said, right after character creation. It's even there for a saved game right after character creation. HOWEVER, new game or existing save...you recover the resin from the chest and click on the Forge; it says:
You do not know how to work this device. Perhaps there are instructions to be read somewhere.
Only, there are no instructions to be read anywhere in the cell.
The book is not in my inventory. I'll wager, it has to do with what option you chose when installed the SPELLFORGE mod, and I put to buy at a Novice Spell Vendor vs have it given to you. Even uninstalling and reinstalling that SPELLFORGE mod, now it no longer gives the option but defaults to my original choice. So I can not make this mod work. Which means, anyone who already has SPELLFORGE installed, and did NOT chose to start with the book, can not make this mod work.
If an item like this Forge is going to be placed in the cell, then it must be useable in the cell regardless how the other mods were installed. Since reinstalling SPELLFORGE will not give me the option to start with the book, for this mod to truilt function this mod has to give you the book. Otherwise, it will only work for those who chose to have the book given to them on initial instll of the REFORGE mod.
Enigma is correct, you do need to read the Spellforge Manual and import spells before anything in the Spellforge mod is usable. It will be in your inventory, but only if you chose that option in the Spellforge fomod.
If you didn't choose that option in the fomod, you can simply reinstall and choose that option... Unless you wanted to postpone the use of the spellforge. In that case, you probably wouldn't want to use my mod.

@GrumpyOldDude Sorry that it's been difficult, but I just tested what you've brought up and have been able to reinstall Spellforge choosing other options with success, and upon starting a new game the manual is in my inventory. I am not sure your assessment is accurate; it's probably user error.
If you don't want to go through the hassle of figuring out what is going on, you could use the console to add the manual to your inventory.
Thanks for bringing this up! I may update it to have the manual sitting by the spellforge just in case someone doesn't have it in their inventory and doesn't want to use the console or reinstall spellforge.
Understood, but I dispute the "user error". Not much way for me TO make an error.
I use VORTEX. I clicked ENABLED, which disables the mod. Then selected UNINSTALL. Then I reinstalled, and it enabled the mod without presenting the option for the book. I suppose I could try uninstalling and then REMOVING from the archive, redownload, and reinstall. See if that changes anything.
EDIT: Yes, that did the trick. It now gave me the options on reinstallation, but I had to remove and delete the archives for it to do so. Yep, book in inventory now, and it is importing the spells as I type. SO in your notes, indicate that if you already had the Spellforge mod installed with a different option for th ebook; you MAY have to not only uninstall but delete it from the archives, redownload and reinstall, to get the option again and then, you must select to have the book given to

I uploaded an updated version that adds the manual by the forge and chest for anyone else in the future that runs into an issue.
