New slots for light and heavy armor, which use new keywords included in Armor Clothes and Weapon Framework instead of vanilla ones. You can try vanilla patch from AC&WF page to test new conditions.
Why I use these keywords now? Well, vanilla light and heavy armor keywords are used massively in all armors, obvious, because they are necessary for armor perks, etc. But I don't like character playing heavy gear animations when wearing a simple iron bikini... So, I add new keywords only to armor parts that really can restrict characters movement, and let vanilla keywords for their original purpose. Note that heavy slot have high priority, so, if character is wearing items with both keywords, heavy animations will be played, makes sense.
Well, I'm not a big fan of creating videos or other media stuff, but probably they are mandatory for mods related to animations, so, I've found some time to record some sample videos. I've added links to description, and I'll add more in the comming days.
It's a custom cyborg race I was working, with the purpose of using NPCs as followers or summonable characters with custom voice, creating compatible armors, etc, but it's unfinished. I've tons of unfinished mods...
Reworked full conditions and folders structure, and added new ones:
-Added new options: Fins and heavy armor.
-Most options now use 3 folders: unisex, male and female, to avoid issues with animations that can't be placed in gender folders, you can remove unused ones if you wish. Note that some folder have been renamed, so you have to move your animations if you are upgrading.
-Optional plugin to craft animation rings, I created this to test animations easily without need of equipping items with required keywords, so, you can use them for testing purposes, or lazy people can use them to force animations if they don't want to patch items or distribute keywords.
-Added more distance between priorities, so, you can create submods with other conditions if you need, or insert other mods.
Read description page, I'll include all new instructions.
Actually I haven't created a DAR version because I've migrated all animations to OAR system, but I'll consider if there are enough interested people and I've the time.
Also, for this and the DAR version, Gunslicer's animations are pretty awesome. He allows you to zip his animations as long as you credit him. Might be a nice idea!
I reinstalled the game some days ago due to an issue, and actually I'm trying to rebuild all mods setup, so, i'm testing a lot of animation mods. Thanks to this, I've noticed I need some new features for Armor Clothes and Weapon framework, and I'll need to update this mod too, with new conditions and options.
I like Gunslicer's swimming animations for water races like argonians, sneak animations have a forced neck position, so, I don't like for human character, but probably I'll use them with cyborg body. I haven't tryed combat animations yet because I'm setting unarmed movements first. For Heels, I'm using Gunslicer for running, but Victoria's for walking, Her Animations for sprint, and Better Sneak 360 for sneaking, for jumping Pretty Jump and a mix of sitting animations by Sexy Sit, Dynamic sitting idles, Modern Female Sitting, etc. Actually, we have a lot of good animation mods, so, it will take me a time to get a perfect setup, fortunately, OAR has a good preview feature.
I uploaded animations from YY Anim Replacer - Princess Horse Riding, SideSaddle Combat Animations (just copypaste from archives) but OAR doesn't see them.OAR shows that keyword ClothingHandicapFemaleLegLow detected.I try to distribute it with KID so i create LongDress_KID.ini in datafolder, setthere Keyword=0x00023E17~ArmorFrameWork.esm|Armor|NS_Eilhart_Dress.esp,po3_KeywordItemDistributor.log shows ClothingHandicapFemaleLegLow [0x23E17~ArmorFrameWork.esm] added to 10/14569 but animations dont work,i try this with DAR and there dont work to.Where i am going wrong help pls
Seems that riding animations are shared between character and horse and uses a different directory, so probably will not be detected if you place them on character animations directory, you can try to create a OAR folder in same folder where these animations are stored by default, then copy animations and config file too. OAR mod claims to work with creatures, reading description I deduce animations files should be placed in animations folders for each creature category, but not sure, you can try to ask OAR author for more info.
Thank you for sharing this. Could I theoretically use this to add normal female walk/run animations to female orcs? And if so, do you know how I would go about it, please?
The main problem is female orcs have a flag enabled to use male animations, you can try to create a new folder with specific conditions: sex female and race = orc or orcvampire But not sure if opposite gender setting will overwrite it and force them to use male animations, probably, best way is to patch orc race or characters unchecking this flag, with CK or SSEEdit. Anyway, search for mods, maybe somebody did it yet.
Since a lot of people are migrating animation replacer mods to OAR, I've uploaded this version of Walk with elegance. All options have been included in an unique download to simplify things, if you don't need some options simply remove submod folders. I've tested some conditions but not all of them, and I'm newby using OAR system, so, if you find issues tell me.
