High Clannfears are aggressive saurian humanoids from Oblivion, with large spike-covered bony crests adorning their heads, and with sharp beaks and long claws specially designed to tear their prey to shreds. Intelligent, but bordering on bestiality, they are often used and trained by higher Daedra as guard dogs.

  • This mod is the standalone version of the High Clannfear, originally released in my Clannfears and Clannroths mod (LE / SE-AE). If you have the mentioned mod installed, you already have the High Clannfear in your game and you don't need to download this mod which only adds the mentioned creature and no other creatures contained in the original mod;
  • Obviously you should not use this mod together with the Clannfears and Clannroths mod mentioned above, since the latter already adds High Clannfears to your game, and using them at the same time will double the amount of the mentioned daedra in your game, in addition to other possible problems;

High Clannfears are aggressive saurian humanoids from Oblivion, with large spike-covered bony crests adorning their heads, and with sharp beaks and long claws specially designed to tear their prey to shreds. Intelligent, but bordering on bestiality, they are often used and trained by higher Daedra as guard dogs. In combat, they resort to powerful lunges with their oversized heads to bring down their prey, and then use their claws to kill the poor victim. They are agile and stopping a Clannfear's charge is not an easy task.

The more humanoid version is classified as High Clannfear for its greater intelligence and speech ability, while the variant we know as Lesser Clannfear is basically a relatively intelligent beast, also more animalistic in appearance. However, the size of the latter and its attack power considerably exceeds that of a High Clannfear, being a more fearsome enemy, even if considerably less evolved."

Tecnhical info: This variant is especially inspired by the design of Clannfears in Battlespire and Morrowind, where they had a more humanoid design and had intelligence, and being able to speak, even if rudimentary. I seek to include and explain the differences in forms and levels of sapience that Clannfears have been showing throughout the chronology of the games, not leaving any variant out, but also without making everything confusing. The spelltome to conjure a High Clannfear can be randomly found in warlock lairs, where High Clannfear enemies can be also found.

So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)
