    Greetings Everyone,

There has been questions about whether these effect summons. While I am pretty sure they do not, there is no harm in being careful. New update has been posted. You will notice that the SPID has been streamlined as well as including "-S" at the end. This locks the perks from being distributed to summonable creatures!

Edit: Don't pay attention to multiple attempts to update. I am a goof.

    FAQ

    Q: Doesn't NFF do this?

A: Many custom voiced followers actually shouldn't be imported into the Nether Follower's Framework AI. The mod authors of these amazing followers highly discourage having NFF take over since it typically breaks the character's scripts.DFW was made specifically for custom followers at its core, to get around this issue. It just so happens that it works on any follower you want it too!

This FAQ will be added too as good questions are asked. Please Endorse!

    1. Instructions are not clear enough. Let's say I want to weaken everyone by 80% and that is it, what should I see? Is it like this with everything else deleted?
    ;DEFAULT CONFIGS
    ;80%
    ;Perk = 0x801~Dynamic Follower Weakening.esp|NONE|NONE|NONE|-S

    2. Do I put the optional ini inside where the esp is or should I just install it via MO2 and edit it on it's own folder?

    3. Also does the percentage mean they become 80% weak or do they became 20% weak because 80 minus 100(%) is 20?
Basically I'm not sure if I put 100% would they became default or if 0% is the default.

    4. I do not understand the difference between the three perks mentioned. All I know is I only need weaken my followers by 1/3rd because I would like to use 3 of them. I assume that all three perks(0x801, 0x800, and the other one) are happening at the same time. I removed everything except that 0x801 assuming that I only needed 1 perk that makes them 80% weaker. But I do not know if I have made a mistake. Please clarify, I have asked multiple people across different discord servers about this and they are confused as well.

    5. Maybe I'm confused, does the ini only control the options I am allowed to toggle ingame? If so how do i toggle it ingame? Do I go to mcm and go to Dynamic Follower Weakening? Do I go to SPID? Do I recieve an item that will allow me to customize it? I'm really sorry for the questions but not everyone is good at modding.

Out of curiosity, if I have the 50% weakening toggled, then dismiss the follower, they'd go back to full strength right?

Then if I disable the 50% and enable the 75% weakening and then recruit the follower again, will that give them the new 75% weakening without the need to disable and re-enable them?

      first question Answer:: Yes.

2nd question answer: i THINK no. The perk is always there. The perk only activates when they are in your party.

3rd. I could be wrong about needing to disable and enable. SPID has changed the way it distributes. Its very possible that it is reapplying whatever perk you have chosen at run time every time you boot up the game. So no need to disable enable. COULD BE WRONG. Spid has changed.

    Hello!

Is there a way to change magic damage (destruction spells) output only?

    Thanks!

Not really without making whole new perks. If I ever do a revamp. It will be skypatcher based where it will allow me to do what I want at the ini level

According to https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/GetPlayerTeammate the condition is unreliable. I used console to check my follower's perks. I did not see Follower Damage Weaken. I added check for GetInFaction CurrentFollowerFaction instead. That seems to work.

I love the idea of this mod! Thanks for creating.

it took me forever because of various life things and then the dumb skyrim update messed up my creation kit. But now I will be pushing the update today. It will look for either one of those conditions and apply the perk. thanks for the heads up

Is it cool to keep this installed, all the time, but to toggle it on and off if needed (toggled off as in keeping a ; at the beginning of every line)?

Eg, I usually only keep one follower with me, so I probably want it toggled off most of the time, as to keep that one follower at full power, and then tweaking the ini file when I want more followers.

Is that cool, or would that cause problems?

Yes but you would have to disable and re-enable the follower with console commands for it to work. I believe

I think I'm going to make a mod that dynamically nerfs your followers as you get more.

Very good to know. From my point of view as I suck at combat I always start with follower(s).
But many of them are op to my views.
But  I would like to be able to remove this tweak once my enemies and myself reach the same level as the follower(s)
So awesome mod. Thanks a lot

Great idea, but I think this solves, at least for me, only half of the problem, because followers also tank a lot of damage.
Could you add a perk so that followers take more physical and magic damage? maybe 50%?

absolute god send, while a lot of these follower mods are absolute S tier, it always sucks when they end up being overtuned by default for who knows why. thanks for saving me trips to SSEdit.

Just want to double confirm this does not affect summons right?

Believe it or not, i do not know. I dont have creation kit anymore (typical creation kit shenanigans) and I haven't used summons extensively in my playthroughs. It might be a while before i can confirm this answer. I apologize

Is there some way I can check this mod is active? like a console command I use while targeting a follower to ensure they have the perk?

Sorry I am dumb and have A TON of mods already that can create some unpredictable nature in things, and it would just save time to have an objective means of checking instead of having to take the follower around awhile and make a guess. Though to be fair Im pretty sure its active already, just ran into town gards with a vanilla follower and he didnt seem to do much of anything.
