I... don't.... touch.... the... tempering.... system... in.... this.... mod..... The mod modifies the item health level only and relies on the vanilla system to temper it back up.
I was bummed to realize that versions 2.x wouldn't work on my setup (didn't even show up in MCM like mentioned below), but then found this savior mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106441?tab=description
Now all bikini armor slots perfectly degrade, at least after 15 mins of playing around 😀 My Skyrim version is 1.5.97 btw.
Just trying out your mod today and it looks very promising! In a future update, would it be possible to exclude/hide items in the UI that are on the Immunities list?
Its a reasonable request. If I get time to play skyrim, have the energy to mod, decide to edit this mod, and remember your request, I'll be sure to add that in!
Are there plans to add a chance to have tempered weapons and armor appear on NPCs and/or vendors? That's the only feature I miss from other degradation mods. It makes the game feel more realistic knowing that other people temper their gear too. It also makes the game a little bit harder because enemies will do more damage to you and take less damage from you.
wait, so if I toggle the amulet slot on, does that mean the amulet will get degraded and ultimately unequipable like an armor? cause that would be actually quite awesome.
Doesn't work for me, it loads and shows an MCM entry and everything, but I've literally tried massacring a bandit wearing only a roughspun tunic with a daedric warhammer like 20 times in a row and nothing ever breaks.
It took me a while to find settings that I enjoy playing with, but it was worth it. This is the best equipment degradation mod I've tried. My only complaint is the widget. It bugs out a lot and generally responds pretty slowly. I think that's just the problem with iWant Widgets though. iWant Widgets NG helps out in those regards but this mod doesn't support the NG version. I had to uninstall iWant Widgets NG to use this mod and now my other widgets are slow too. :(
This mod looks *almost* exactly like what I want :) Thanks!
I got two questions:
1. The description mentions something like a keyword which can be used to prevent items from degrading / breaking? Did I misinterpret the description - or is there indeed some keyword I could apply to the armors which should not break?
2. Is the NPC visual degradation / breakage issue like a general thing which cannot be easily solved - or do you see a chance in the future that this could be added to this mod?
Great mod with lots of ways to edit it to your liking. Default settings where your items can break in a single hit was a bit too much for me, so thanks to include options for us milkdrinkers. Widgets seems a bit wonky but I guess that is to be expected when you add it to a huge modlist like Constellations. Now I just need to create some recipes for items that normally can't be tempered.
Great to hear its to your liking. I'm still picking at the UI. I'm not sure if its my setup, something with Iwidgets, or (likely) a combination of the two. There'll be an update for it eventually.
When loading a save the widgets are gone. You need to unequip something and equip it again to get them to show. At least that is the behavior I got on a new game.
This mod also use widgets which are much nice to look at and doesn't bug out. Don't know if you could use the same approach. From what I have been reading on the Iwant Widgets modpage the problem might be with Iwant Widgets and not your mod.

Also IWantWidgets just updated which might change things for the better. Haven't tested.
