Hey everyone! Here is the Ancient Falmer Retexture!

    COMPATIBILITY

Works with every mod that also works with vanilla textures. Works with cathedral armory without the need for a patch

    WHAT IS NEXT?

Next up will be Stalhrim! If you would like to see the full roadmap (just a rough outline, it's always subject to change), I posted my To-do list on my Patreon. The list is public so no need to become a Patron to see it.

Thank you for the constant support!

If you like my work, please leave an endorsement! I really appreciate all the kind comments, feedback and support!

Would you ever consider a mesh addon to add sleeves to this set similar to the stormcloak set? Super tough to find one with good textures that fit well. Cheers!

After getting a little extra help from Reddit, thank you Ryosuke, I was able to get my port of Much Ado About Snow Elves - WEAPONS ONLY to work with the exception of Esbern not analyzing Alduin's Wall, because for some reason Much Ado interferes with that.

I just redownloaded this mod, with the Ancient Falmer Weapons added and it works. And now, thanks to you, I have a little more knowledge and understanding of how porting works.

I am taking a massive learning curve here and learning how to port Skyrim LE mods. The Falmer weapons came from Much Ado About The Snow Elves. So I downloaded that mod and I am going through the process to attempt to convert it to SSE. I won't be making it available here on nexus, because I don't trust myself to do it correctly, but I'm hoping this mod will work with my port. I'll let you know it if does.

Edit: I followed the directions, but I still couldn't get the port to show up in my game.

Edit 2: I did get my port to work, I just had to go into Creations and enable it there as well as on Vortex.

Edit 3: It worked yesterday, but today it was crashing my game. I noticed yesterday creations read the file as a .esp file, but today it read it as a .esm file and I can't figure out how to fix that. Yes, I googled it. I went through porting a new download of it and nothing. I don't know what else to do.

I downloaded Legacy of the Dragonborn for the Ancient Falmer Weapons and my game wouldn't even launch. I tried troubleshooting it but ended up having to remove LotD. I still want the Ancient Falmer Weapons that you have pictured here. Can you release them as a standalone mod, please?

I cannot as I do not have permissions to share the meshes and I have zero interest making a plugin to add them as standalone weapons

LOL, this mod even changes the craftable versions of Ancient Falmer Armor that I've added in through from other mods. Thankfully it doesn't touch Silver Ancient Falmer Armor, but a part of me wishes it did. I'd like it if my Silver Ancient Falmer Armor was ivory white with silver accents and a black sash with a silver belt. Currently it has black accents, or at least they look like they are black accents. I also wish there was one that had was ivory white with gold accents and a black sash with a gold belt. Maybe if you get the time to, I see you have your own road map of things to mod.

I'm already using a mod that alters Auriel's Bow. Will this interfere with that mod?

Depends what is it. If it’s a retexture you want to keep, load it after my mod

Unfortunately, that other mod was downloaded and added through the Creations page in the game. So I don't know how they'll affect each other or even how to adjust the load order.

A side note: One thing I've noticed that is sadly missing from the game is Ancient Falmer Heavy Armor or weaponry that's in an Ancient Falmer style. I know Gelebor uses the Prelate's Mace, but it looks like any ordinary Elven Mace and Vyrthur uses an ordinary Elven Sword. Their armor is so unique to their race. Why aren't their weapons unique to their race as well? I'm using a playable Snow Elf mod. So I'm always looking for more Ancient Falmer gear mods to make it a more immersive experience.

I know it might be asking too much, but would you be willing to also retexture the armor of the wights that appear in the Anniversary quest The Cause? Those zombies are supposed to be ayleids, so a consistency texture similar to what you did with the draugr and the Acient Nord set would be super cool!

These weapons looked familiar and then I remembered a quest mod for LE called "Much Ado Abow Snow Elves". This may be a long shot but would the mod be able to detect the "weapons only" version of that quest mod and retexture the items? They seem to be all the same. Regardless, great mod :)

You can select the LOTD patch in the fomod and it will work with the standalone version of the quest. The texture paths are the same
