    hello

i'm on a personal mission to fix one glaring problem.
i think your mod might address this some-what , but maybe not 100% as i want it to.
as your mod says 'during combat' - i would like to extend that, to a Never-Mode.. regarding this issue.

these town guards are always accosting me for past crimes , forcing me into a dialogue..
as i'm frequently playing a vampire character that just fights guards at any time - having them accost me, is just a nuisance and annoyance..
I never Ever want them to ask me about crimes and force a dialogue on me - in combat Or Out of combat,
i want them to attack or shut up and get back to walking around..
i think Forcing a dialogue is very Anti-Immersive. and guards do this excessively and extremely.
can you lead me in the right direction, as to how to disable that annoying guard forces dialogue on you ?

    Thanks

There are probably a few different ways to fix this for you.

The forcegreets are all under "Packages" you can open up the packages in the creation kit or xEdit and look for the words forcegreet and guard in the  editorID field.  Note: not all forcegreets have forcegreet in their ID.
Then you can try one of these solutions
      1. Add condition to ignore if vampire.
      2. Change record flag to "Deleted".  There is also the flag "Ignored."  Ignored seems to retain the field contents.
      3. Change the radius so it is so small that you can definitely attack them before they accost you.

This may break quests if you use as a cure all, but if you only use on the guards it should be alright.

sounds like a step in the right direction . thanks for the reply.

Add condition to ignore if vampire.
      i like this idea .

i'm browsing around the xEdit right now.
i'm looking at your files in your mod,

i might be inclined to investigate those first, ... unless you can say specifically which file i have to edit..

ForceGreet (i don't see any obvious references to guards in it, its my best guess so far)
MQ201GuardForcegreetAtParty (this looks like a quest)
MS01GuardForceGreetPackage (this looks like a quest)
TG04EECGuardForceGreetPackage (this looks like a quest - i'm skeptical of editing it)
WhiterunGateGuardForcegreet (this looks like a quest - not really pertaining to all guards globally)

in your files you have a condition called GetCombatState.
if your combat state Equal To 0, then allow it.

i'll try add a new condition.
if IsUndead. Equal To 0, then allow it.

if my syntax was right and if i picked the right file to edit.. this should total work..

i'll try add a new condition.
if IsUndead. greater than .. 0 .. then allow it..

if IsUndead greater than 0 then allow is opposite of what you want.  Greater than 0 = True.  GetCombatState 0 = out of combat 1 = in combat.  You will want And IsUndead = 0

i don't think i edited the right file.
they still tried to force a dialogue on me,
i guess i'll figure it out after awhile.

another idea i have is to try and increase the crime gold arrest threshold amount to something really ridiculous.
i fiddled around with that, with some success. but not 100%.

      hi again..

your mod is called "Shut UP. Can't you see I'm busy fighting"

can you make a Optional File called "Shut Up. Can't You see I'm Invisible"

i just walked into riverwood, Total-Invisible. Durak bum rushes me with his Dawngaurd quest. no way to prevent it.

      what a great idea.....

Ok, done.  Give it a test.  It should work, but sometimes checks don't work the way one would expect.

seems to be working good. durak didn't bum rush me this time. he just sat there, he didn't even notice me. was great.

i didn't give it a thorough testing.. but i have to thumbs it up so far.

      thanks for making this.

** i tried it on durak again. i entered riverwood he was sitting on a bench. i was invisible. he didnt take any notice to me,
but then i became un-invisible real quick and then he started to get up from sitting - i promptly became invisible and just stood there, he eventually Force-Greeted me while i was invisible..

      Unfortunately ..

** but i tried it again.. i went over to durak Total-invisible. he did not do anything, he did not approach me.
I stole a piece of cabbage so i would become visible. then durak got up, seems like he noticed me was going to bum rush with me with Dawnguard quest. so i promptly turned invisible then i jumped up on the rooftop. then he walked in another direction and sat back down.
then i walked up to him invisible, he didnt do anything.

so... i think it works.. but maybe if i reveal myself then become invisible it doesnt stop the script from trying to force the dialogue regardless, since he saw me for 1 second, the force greet already started.. but since i ran away, he became interested in something else, he didnt try and complete his attempt to force greet me.. and i guess the force greet attempt reset.

so.. i guess it works ?!

      Nice.

Yeah, it makes sense that as soon as you are visible or out of combat state, the forcegreet works again.

To get rid of the forcegreet entirely, they would need to be disabled, but I'm sure some of those are required for quests and I'd have to curate them instead of doing a blanket modification.

But Yeah, sometimes if I know there will be a fight on the other side of a door, I'd like to walk in blasting fireball instead of being forcegreeted and losing some of my buffs, and starting the combat flat footed.

Well, once he noticed you, and even if he saw you turning back to invisibility, he already knew your position, approximately, and why would he stop himself from approaching you? he's a busy orc, he doesn't have time to lose... I don't see any issues there 😉

and why would he stop himself from approaching you?

i think he should stop. play an eye-scratching animation. and the say DOH, then walk away.. that would be more immersive.

I don't know that it is fair to call Fugitive Piss off an alternate of this mod.  Shut Up fixes over 300 force greets.  That mod alters only a few records and all of them are for a single encounter.  Also, that mod doesn't address the reason I made this mod in the first place--  The Currier and Durak interrupting me during a fight and making me watch my myself get beat to death.

Fugitive piss off and this mod actually have no overlap, which surprised me.
What I found when l loaded this into xedit - this should load before quest mods (duh) and also 'Oh S--- Not You Again' and 'Gift from a friend', but is totally conflict free otherwise on my pretty large load order.

I did find a handful of records where USSEP changes weren't carried over, mostly checks for vampirism/lycanthropy.

TYVM for this "should have been in vanilla" mod. However, there are some things worth considering; in order of importance:

    1) Because the OCS patch is named .esl, it has to load near the very top, which force-pulls Open Cities Skyrim.esp from the bottom of the load order to top (because it is its master), which messes things up. Consider making it an .esp with ESL flag instead, so it can load under OCS without unnecessary drama.

    2) Since the ESL version of the main file is automatically loaded before CRF, your forwarded change is for naught. But it's just one record so no biggie.

    3) Aside from 2 records with Immersive Citizens and 3 with Alternate Start, there are practically no other conflicts with this in my very crowded modlist (I have GDO, RDO, RCD... the works) so consider adding patches for those two.

    4) You removed a vanilla condition from 000F8A81 | WEBountyCollectorForcegreet and unlike others that look like bugfixes, this one seems suspect. Was it an intended change?

    TLDR for users:
I highly recommend you don't use the OCS patch, and instead make a manual patch, if you know how. If not, there are only a few conflicts with other mods that can safely be ignored as long as you only use the main file. If you're not going to make a manual patch, just get the ESP version and put it right below Cutting Room Floor.esp (which should be high in your load order, anyway).

oops.  It is indeed suspect.  I probably did it accidently when dragging the value over.  I'll fix it now and upload an esp with an esl flag.  Kinda late I know, but I did eventually read your post :)  Thank you for the feedback.

Thank you so much for this mod. I hate when I'm fighting a dragon and the stupid courier decides to force greet me. Then we both get roasted. Now, the courier runs and hides somewhere like he should and I can fight the dragon without worrying about dying mid conversation. Endorsed!

Hud is Customizable UI Replacer I dunno if it works in SSE.
    2. Mod author said it won't be compatible until the script extender is out
      If it's ever out

No. I didn't even think of editing random commentary after death. This just stops NPCs from force greeting you in combat. So you don't stand there unresponsive while hostile NPCs are attacking you. That might be something I can do, but I have no idea how.

Not really. Form 44 isn't a requirement unless the form record has been modified for SE. Still, I went ahead and updated to form 44 to set people's minds at ease. Also, upgraded to version 1.0 since I've not received any bug complaints for a long while.

I don't understand why they didn't make this the vanilla behaviour. Good job. In terms of compatibility there's a few conflicts with immersive citizens and open cities.

Both adjust packages for various reasons. Just load SHUT UP! Higher so that IC can override.
