I don't know that it is fair to call Fugitive Piss off an alternate of this mod. Shut Up fixes over 300 force greets. That mod alters only a few records and all of them are for a single encounter. Also, that mod doesn't address the reason I made this mod in the first place-- The Currier and Durak interrupting me during a fight and making me watch my myself get beat to death.
TYVM for this "should have been in vanilla" mod. However, there are some things worth considering; in order of importance:
1) Because the OCS patch is named .esl, it has to load near the very top, which force-pulls Open Cities Skyrim.esp from the bottom of the load order to top (because it is its master), which messes things up. Consider making it an .esp with ESL flag instead, so it can load under OCS without unnecessary drama.
2) Since the ESL version of the main file is automatically loaded before CRF, your forwarded change is for naught. But it's just one record so no biggie.
3) Aside from 2 records with Immersive Citizens and 3 with Alternate Start, there are practically no other conflicts with this in my very crowded modlist (I have GDO, RDO, RCD... the works) so consider adding patches for those two.
4) You removed a vanilla condition from 000F8A81 | WEBountyCollectorForcegreet and unlike others that look like bugfixes, this one seems suspect. Was it an intended change?
TLDR for users: I highly recommend you don't use the OCS patch, and instead make a manual patch, if you know how. If not, there are only a few conflicts with other mods that can safely be ignored as long as you only use the main file. If you're not going to make a manual patch, just get the ESP version and put it right below Cutting Room Floor.esp (which should be high in your load order, anyway).
oops. It is indeed suspect. I probably did it accidently when dragging the value over. I'll fix it now and upload an esp with an esl flag. Kinda late I know, but I did eventually read your post :) Thank you for the feedback.
Thank you so much for this mod. I hate when I'm fighting a dragon and the stupid courier decides to force greet me. Then we both get roasted. Now, the courier runs and hides somewhere like he should and I can fight the dragon without worrying about dying mid conversation. Endorsed!
No. I didn't even think of editing random commentary after death. This just stops NPCs from force greeting you in combat. So you don't stand there unresponsive while hostile NPCs are attacking you. That might be something I can do, but I have no idea how.
Not really. Form 44 isn't a requirement unless the form record has been modified for SE. Still, I went ahead and updated to form 44 to set people's minds at ease. Also, upgraded to version 1.0 since I've not received any bug complaints for a long while.
I don't understand why they didn't make this the vanilla behaviour. Good job. In terms of compatibility there's a few conflicts with immersive citizens and open cities.
Hope you're not still on deployment. :-p I was wondering if you (or anyone else) could clarify what the incompatibilities with Immersive Citizens might be. Otherwise, this mod sounds like a must-have.
I do find it strange though that you mention my Better Vampire NPCs show up and kinda get in the way, and the link you provide for it doesn't go to my mod?
If NPCs have this issue please be assured it isn't the fault of my mod. Sounds like a game issue - I just modify the NPCs themselves for level, equipment, etc.
Heh, you misunderstand. BVNPC worked like it was supposed to. They spawned and beat on me. The Alikir, Durak, and the Courier got in the way by convo locking me while your NPCs were giving me a hard time.
I'll fix the link, and clarify the description. I have three of your mods, and I enjoy them all. Thank you.

If it's ever out
