For some reason, entering the arena crashed my game, it could be in my end, but I have not found the problem.
If you are interested in the content of this mod, the oldrim mod "Monsters of the Windhelm Pit Arena" can be easily converted to sse and adds the same features plus some enemies in the arena.
Finally fixed it. For me, the crash was caused by an older version of Better Dynamic Snow. Updated to the latest version and I can enter the Windhelm Arena with no CTD
Transplanting my comment from the LE Mod page: This is "technically" incompatible with JK's Skyrim due to cluttering being added to the new 4-way junction hallway that may block one or more of the new paths. That being said, it is incredibly easy to delete the offending articles with console, use Jaxonz's Repositioner (as I do), or making a personal patch at the end of your load order to move them out of the way. Once you do that, the mods are fully compatible from my testing so far.

I was upset that they cut out the arena/pit fighter content from Skyrim. Skyrim of all places, seemed like the place to really have fun with the arena. I loved the Gladiator style arena in Oblivion. That style wouldn't fit Skyrim. But, I imagined that each hold had their own pit.
The player could get their start in Whiterun. If they win through Whiterun's challenges, they get assigned to fight in a different city, till eventually they have the opportunity to fight in the two major capitols, Solitude and Windhelm.
Solitude shut theirs down after King Torygg was killed. The player could try to persuade the queen to reopen it back up. After talking with her, she could inform you about Cyrodil's arena, she was never a fan of the sport and might admit to the Dragonborn, that even her own husband enjoyed the sport, despite her own disapproval. The Dragonborn could then persuade her, that opening the pit back up would boost the moral and ironically keep people's mind off the war. This is nord country after all and might help persuade them, when we have the moot.
On the Windhelm side of things. Ulfric has been to busy with the war. Although he understands the necessity of it during these harsh times, the city simply doesn't have the funding for it and was forced to shut down. This is not a matter of cunning words, but simple a matter of funding. The Dragonborn could then donate 5000G to get the pit back up and running. Ulfric's pride will cause him to be reluctant at first. This is when the Dragonborn tells him, this is not charity. I want to fight in the pit. Ulfric, "Then I guess we'll have to find you something worth fighting." . He accepts the gold and the Dragonborn has to wait 24 hours and show up between business hours, to get started. I think Windhelm should be the most challenging. It's not about where you stand in the war. It's reflection of Skyrim culture. The Gladiator style arena was at the center of Cyrodil and reflected Imperial culture. The pit style fighting should be celebrated at Skyrim's oldest city and original capitol.
I know this is going no where. But, this is how my brain fills in the blank, where I believe something should be there. It drives me nuts, that I can't do anything about it. I just want it to exist. I might try this later. But, I don't like to mess with Windhelm to much. I'm about to start a new game and I want to see how everything us running first.
If possible could you make a compatibility patch for the mod called Bells of Skyrim? That mod has a bell tower in the same place as the walkway going towards the Pit area.
