Looks amazing, as always. This would also be great as an optional replacer for The Pale Blade.

It is strange to replace one artifact with another artifact.

Just a thought. Was looking through weapon mods specifically to see if there were any for The Pale Blade, or ones that could be a replacer for one. The runes and the color tone of this seemed to fit.

Your sword looks great, but I can't read what the enchantment on it is, it's not in English.

and lore-breaking too. as Debaser in canon, is a One-Handed Short Sword. though I do Admit. Debaser's design would make for a Kick Ass two-handed claymore. so it's still A Good Idea since it does kind of look like Conan's Atlantean sword...sort of.

you have got to admit one thing though. seeing some guy. clad head-to-toe in Daedric armor charging at you in a berserker rage while screaming like a maniac while also holding a blood-splattered two-handed version of Mehrunes's Razor that is as big as Andre The Giant would be terrifying. and kind of funny at the same time.

yes, it is really accurate to how the Debaser should actually look like, a bit of lore on this amazingly crafted mod:

"Debaser is an ancient Snow Elven short sword created in the Forgotten Vale and blessed by Auriel himself.  The sword is made of an unknown metal, rumored to be Sigilsteel.  The blade is connected to the Vale through the mysterious Gem Paragons that are guarded by the Frost Giants.  These gems give the blade a unique enchantment, and access to ancient magic.   Oriana Gane discovered the sword in a secret Snow Elven vault that was accessed using the Ice Paragon. In 3E 433, the Bosmer Thorinor opened a shop in the Imperial City's Market District, and greatly disrupted the economy by massively undercutting the competition. The cities' Society of Concerned Merchants, which was created to keep an economic balance in town, attempted to recruit the undercutter, but he refused to join. Disgruntled, the society hired a mercenary to investigate the source of Thorinor's merchandise, which they suspected was gotten by illicit means.
The investigation led to the acquisition of evidence that revealed that Thorinor's dealer was not a simple trapper, but a Nordic grave digger named Agarmir. His journal revealed that he dug the graves of the wealthy in cities all across Cyrodiil. One of the items of note was the Debaser itself, taken from the resting place of a Oford Gabings from Anvil. After confronting Thorinor about his dealer, he revealed that he had no idea where Agarmir got his goods, and led the mercenary to the direction the Nord was planning to be. In reality, the gravedigger set a trap, and attempted to slay the interloper, but was put down. With the dealer gone, Thorinor joined the Society of Concerned Merchants, and donated his ill-gotten goods and the gold obtained from their sale to the Temple, thus eluding the wrath of the Imperial Watch, and helped re-stabilize the economy. Despite the Debaser being gained by gravedigging, it was kept by the Mercenary, with no efforts made to retrieve it by the Imperial Watch."

4thunknown, this is a really beautiful piece of work, like usual!!

If short-bladed weapons are not your thing in Skyrim, why would you download this mod? It's like complaining about water being wet while drinking it.

I know, that had to have been the dumbest thing I have ever heard anyone complaining about in a long while. I mean seriously, they go on to a mod page, read the description, and upon finding out it's a mod to add a legendary weapon from a previous installment of the Elder Scrolls Series into Skyrim, and it's also a type of weapon that they don't like. they immediately feel this strange, almost obnoxious need to come to the comments section of this mod page, just to whine and cry about the fact that said mod is in fact, lore-accurate oh my gawd!!! the horror!!! why won't someone think of the children? how dare the mod author port over a legendary weapon from Oblivion to Skyrim and make it lore-accurate to what it was in the previous game instead of what "I" want it to be. even though I will never use it or download it in the first place (no offense to the users here who were suggesting two-handed versions of the mod. as I know they were just making suggestions because Debaser's Design would make for a Cool Two-handed sword. and it would make for an equally awesome add-on mod to this one.) In all honesty, it gets tiresome to watch. and I'm sorry the mod user has to put up with it.

As someone pointed out the folder named ".esp" is a horrible idea it causes all hell with certain XEDIT based plugins such as ZEDIT and Merge standalone if it optional folder needs to be there at least name it something more unique than the exact wording which matches the actual plugin extension that every Bethesda game is built on.

It took me three hours of hair pulling to find this none existent .esp that was screwing with ZEDIT only to realise it was a folder and not a plugin.

I don't think that the incorrect operation of some third-party software is my problem. Write to the software developer.

EDIT 2 : ESP is in the download. My bad !

.ESL are not loaded in VR
I cant convert it to .ESP with SSedit
Even if I rename it to .ESP I get a Zmerge error when trying to load the sword esp. I mean just opening zmerge with the plugin in the list does that.

Can you make a .ESP version ? i really like this sword !

EDIT : Renamed it .ESP, added XTUDO patch. Sword works FINE ! Beautiful. Still have that weird error when using Zmerge.

Figured out that folder containing the ESP file is called dot-ESP (.esp) instead of just esp. zmerge tries to read the .esp folder as an esp file and has a stroke. I fixed this by deleting this folder - though you could probs rename it without the . so it doesn't try to treat it as a file extension. I just deactivated half of my load order trying to figure this out.

You use Zmerge sir ? problem is not the ''absence'' of something. Pretty sur EohanachtaMor just said its a naming thing.
Like He said I DID remove the ESP folder and Zmerge as no more stroke anymore !
Still you are right. Have not seen the ESP in the folder before. Made myself the .esp from the .esl.
otherwise it must be the best sword to load on nexus. Thank you !

For those struggling to find the sword in game (like me T_T), the sword can be found on a grave robber behind the Hall of the Dead in Falkreath.

    ===== TL;DR =====
    Name of NPC: Marauder
Location: Falkreath, behind Hall of the Dead
Status: Alive, you might wanna bring a knife.
