Hi CKDN11, Thank you so much for this patch, I'm going to use Capital Windhelm for the first time during my next playthrough :-) Surjamte has planed to fix these bugs (listed in the bug section of the original mod page) before he retired, maybe you could have a look at them ? - delete unvoiced line from Benkum - museum flickering top floor? - restore cut content quest where you fight for freedom after getting arrested? - fix pit fan animations - delete sulvars dogs follow package, dont forget it again - get rid of dock worker & duplicate leftover script? - delete pelt testing barrel - buy house quest not completing? - fix elf dialogue (test etc) + typos (thalmor hunting quest) - UNintelligible - Wulfarths boon visuals get stuck - check ice @ docks plus stairs snow
(strike, the bugs you fixed or Surjamte probably has fixed)
Hey CKDN11, Yes those are cryptic, I agree :D I have simply copy/paste the list as it was. Anyway, if you can fix the ones that make sense to you, it would be a great help.
Dunno if you're still active but the big door that leads to the docks is off center and on the main page it says to make sure to start a new game to fix the issue which I have tried but it never fixes it. Always have to manually fix it with console commands. Even the patch to fix the door placement doesn't work.
Yeah. Tried loading everything into CK too and it would always crash. Tried JK's and CWE at the same time as well and the door still looked normal in CK just with those two. Reading through comments on CWE page, other people have this problem. That's why the author released a gate fix download in optional too but it never worked. Im sure it's an LO issue, but I just do not understand it. I also do not think it is Orbis or Via either because it occurred before I even used em. Dunno. Might just be something I have to live with. Someone in the comments had a solution where you could open the console and move the door to certain coordinates and it was fine so may just have to do that.
Yep same for me, the big door is off-center, I don't have any mods that alter Windhelm except this mod ofc, but I installed it in a mid save wich prob lead to this bug, everything else is just fine, so far its the only bug that I encountered
thats not me. thats due to how skyrim loads everything and hardbakes it in a save. the door wont get moved to whatever position on current in game saves.
I was able to fix the off-centre door issue using this mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/85565 installed it in a previous save without capital windhelm expansion and then boom big door fixed, idk if its works in a save were you already have the mod installed
So far everything working fine in a mid-save (I'm level 66) with 200+ mods and without even started any of the windhelm quests, if I encounter a bug I'll try to report it as soon as possible
I have this same issue and am about to try the suggested mod.
For the doors, the locations of all of the doors in the game are set permanently when you select New Game from the Start Menu, so any modification to doors that are made after that has the potential for these sort of things to happen. That's why new location or location editing mods are always suggested for new playthroughs.
Could you provide the source code for the fixed script? I have another edit I want to merge into it for my own use, and I would rather avoid the hassle fixing the script myself.
Finally someone fixed this. Was wondering if you could take a look at the broken occlusion planes near the entrance to the Palace of Kings as well? I think it could be related to a conflict when using Better Dynamic Snow or Simplicity of Snow. That was one of the other bugs that made me stop using CWE.
Edit: after looking into it, I won't do it since I have no idea which snow shader that causes this issue. However, someone has made a fix which I am using: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56489?tab=files Choose the second one if the first doesn't work.
That occlusion issue was driving me crazy and thanks to this comment chain it's now fixed. Maybe check in xedit and make sure nothing is overwriting that SOS patch.
I used the 3rd option (which seemed to include the most fixes) and it did the trick. For any Simplicity of Snow users struggling with the occlusion pane issue, this will hopefully solve it for you.
Hi. There is another bug. In the dark elf zone, there is a house to buy. When you get the house, the quest still on your journal. Did you think you can fix it?
If it doesn't work for you or anyone else midsave, you can also use this mod to manually hide it from your journal. It's also a nice mod to have for any mods that add quests just for tracking or as a method of checking that the mod is running properly.
Hi there! Thanks for the fix! I was wondering if you ever had this bug using CWE where the game would CTD if you opened the map around Windhelm Stables, and if this patch fixes that as well
Possibly? My fix ensures the game won't load a broken weapon to the world and cause an infinite loading-screen. If it crashes, it might be better to use a crash log mod and give me the log about whatever happens in the stables.
One of the reasons I did not used CWE was that I would always had that inifinite loading screen when trying to use the east gate of the city, your mod fixed that for me and for that I truly thank you my friend.

You think you fix that?
Have you tried the two jk patches from the optional files?
