*sigh* Re-moding skyrim for the new AE. Means of course going top-down as over the years many of the mods I used to rely on are either deleted or outdated.
You probably thought I was going to complain. I'm not. This dang lil cabin has been and will forever always be hanging on the side of that cliff. I never use it, but dern it, it's part of the map as far as I'm concerned and I need it Lol
First of all, I love it. Houses like this are my jam! There is one suggestion I'd really love to see in it, toggles to light/put out the fire/lanterns would be epic.
Could you also clarify (maybe in the mod desc. as well) WHICH containers are safe since you say "Some safe containers", unless you mean all are safe but there are " some safe containers" around to put your stuff in. Confusing to me at least.
E: Almost forgot, the journal gave me a bit of a chuckle
Give "Sit Anywhere" a try! I've used it ever since it came out and it works great. You can also create custom sitting markers for your followers to use easily in game, it's pretty awesome.
Glad to be the first to endorse very suggestive, and the story behind makes me laugh too ^^ I agree that a kind of panoramic view would complete the opera also: what makes this house special is the location, definitely. but I think it is very practical too compared to vanilla houses, that are uselessy redundant, with 374593 area transitions just to make some pee ^^
Yep i tried to come up with an original idea for a shack, as you said most vanilla shacks are very similar. I wanted to change that a bit and tried to include a funny but lore-friendly backstory (at least i think so) to the shack (just to "integrate" the shack to the game properly).
I think you got the goal. Also (uh a lot of "also" ^^) as I like to play as a "pure" dragonborn (magic free characters etc) this location makes a lot of sense to me. I mean: a player base in the really nearby of High Hrothgar is logical, expecially considering that in vanilla game there is no room for the dragonborn in the monastery :/
Glad it suits your RP needs, but you will have to live in a rather small "home" ^^ Holgor shack is not exactly the luxurious mansion that many players like to have.
well... I guess you are right, but as an old player (since the times of D&) Itake "role" in high consideration, and is the most part of my fun. I think the dragonborn, one from a legend, gifted by the gods, should have a kind of "spiritual life". vanilla game totally miss that part. just think of many time you have to sell your soul or be coursed just to end some questline ^^ so I seek all the mods that allow me to skip those daedric worms, or like yours that offer a perfect place where to meditate an excellent piece for my puzzle ^^
Yes, there are a thousand ways to play skyrim after all. I might look for a similar spot in another hold (maybe the Reach, as it has many cliffs and small mountains, or maybe in the north near winterhold). I will tell you if i post a mod like this.
But i still have to look how to add an sitting idle animation for the player on this mod to look at the scenery.
Uh that would be awesome . the northen sea offers a long serie of magnificent views for the tecnical part... sadly I'm a real noob ^^ tried several time to make mods on my own but I just made ugly messes ^^ so I cant suggest :\ just in case, maybe it is easier to realize, to add a kind of balcony where the window is could be a good alternative.

Thanks, sir.

All containers are safe and you can use them.

I will see how to add a player idle to sit on the edge of the ramp.
