This mod contains only meshes and bodyslide data so it will not add anything into your game; it will only modify the base armor that already exists in your game. An .esm/.esp/.esl is required to add any armor into your game.
I personally use Zerofrost Ultimate Armor Collection by xdankitty915x, but any mod with the same file path will work as a base. All of xdankitty915x's versions should work (assuming it contains this armor) and from what I've seen, nearly every single Zerofrost armor mod on nexus uses the same file path.
You can preview file contents on nexus before downloading if you are unsure. As long as the file path is the same and all of the files names are the same, you should be good to use this mod.
Mods, like the zerofrost armor collection, use plugins to add things into the game. Those plugins often reference other files called nifs. The nifs are the actual physical structure of the in game object. BodySlide is a program that allows you to manipulate and create nifs. My mod is a file that BodySlide uses to create a new nif for the main mod, which in this case is the Zerofrost armor collection. Hopefully that explains things a bit. You seem new to modding, but we all had to start somewhere.
Be sure to also have FSMP installed and running. It is the program that controls the physics. I can’t really explain that one though, it is beyond me.
Yes, i am new to this game XD and i would say 80% of the time is downloading new mods and configuring out how to make them work. 20% is just testing out the mod and doing the quest. I am doing my last overhaul: the combat system. Anyway, for some reason, the armor does not appear in bodyslide but working normally with your physics mod. Well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Hahaha XD Keep up with the great work!!
Thank you so much! Love a lot of Zerofrost's armor sets so more of them being worked on especialy for physics (with those long ass coattails) sounds amazing.
I removed some of the sliders that were either breaking the armor, in ways I couldn't easily fix, or had little to no visible effect. One of the biggest issues I ran into when adding sliders was that the armor is fairly low poly in comparison to newer armor sets. This causes jagged edges when sliders that effect small areas are tweaked (too few triangles to effectively blend with the rest of the shape). The original armor was made for LE many years ago, long before cloth physics were available, and is extremely simple in comparison to modern armors. That combined with the shape and placement of the metal chest armor made it difficult to include every slider without causing a bunch of ugly warping and/or jagged edges on some presets. I removed them to try and make this as compatible as possible with most body presets. I did consider completely remaking the armor from scratch with high poly meshes, but draw calls are already a major issue in my game and the last thing I need is more polygons.
If you want to add them back it shouldn't be too hard. It may have to be tweaked for your specific preset though. I probably won't update this.
TLDR: I simplified the sliders for compatibility and ease of use.
Holy f**k,thank you so much man. You have no idea how long I waited for someone to do this, Zerofrost has some top notch armors and it's a shame that so many of them are forgotten. I sincerely hope you tackle other armors of his creation, cheers!
Yeah, that hair is made by Dint999. He has a few hair packs, all of which are amazing. This one is from Hair Pack 2 which contains like 40 different styles. Unfortunately it's a paid mod on patreon, but its worth it imo because it's easily the best hair I've ever seen. Some of the armors are pretty cool too and it really isn't that expensive for what you get. I think it was $3 and you get access to a dozen armors and probably 100 hairstyles.

This doesn't apply anymore as of v2
Could you credit that incredible hair on your character?
