This version represents the lowest difficulty available. For users who want a little bit of spice added to the game but not a bottle of hot chili sauce.
On a side note do you know if there is an Erkeil port of his tougher harkon, miirak and dragon priest mods from his compilation? If not whats his permission stance on releasing conversions? I see a few of his mods such as this converted.
Hi. It’s not a I don’t want to thing. I do not have the knowledge needed on modding dragon behavior. I can do simple things like stat changes, but that’s it. And balance is in the eye of the beholder where skyr8m is concerned, so not going down that rabbit hole. Each modded game has a difference balance depending on character build and mods added. The possibilities are endless.
Erkeil has made his mods public domain. You are safe there.
I don't think balancing is an issue in this really. I guess it's more just polishing up what is currently there with regards to some of the dragons skills/abilities if at all possible.
I use serio dragon enhanced for the AI behavior, which works very well... I haven't tested this dragon mod into the higher levels so I can't comment too much for personal experience... but reading from the official port of enhanced mighty dragons, it would indicate some players have experienced some fairly "unusual" things related to some mighty dragons... but you would prolly have more experience using this mod then many others. If you think it's in pretty good shape as is that's good enough for me.
no no no no. I normally restart skyrim around level 20 over and over like a twilight zone episode. Curse of modding. I update mods and break my game. I never get to spend too much time with dragons. I can honestly say you know more about dragons than me. this was made by request from users that wanted easier dragons. this is just a public service port. the populated series i have done a lot more with culminating in the Hell edition, but I understand standard npcs and ai packages for them. dragons are different, staring with the fact that they have no collision. not my thing.
BTW did you modify Alduin at all? In this version he is level 100 with a health offset of 13000 and base health 15000, lol ... If that's nerfed from the original easiest original mighty dragons, I'd hate to see what the harder versions are!
I'd have to look when I get home at what treatment the other dragons received for a stat debuff, but I'd likely suggest the same for consistency sake. Do you remember how much HP you shaved off easiest main version. was it liked halved?
I may be interested in taking on this mod and trying to work on it a bit deeper and do a secondary of it if you''d be keen to go in that direction as well? Or I can just do a patch which might make more sense since I am going to develop a patch for Serio's new mod, which will require a balance overhaul of all the dragons anyway. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27061?tab=description
Also, any clue if this mod is compatible with TK's Ultimate Dragons?
EDIT: The mod does seem a bit complicated with all the templates and multi-encounter references and there appear to be a few dragons missing like KULAAN’DO’VULOM and STRUN’QO’IN?
EDIT 2: I loaded up the main / old enhanced mighty dragons versions and it looks very different from this. I know yours toned down a lot if the stats but there also seems to be many encounters and templates that were removed or changed in this version vs the original? While the original also seems to have many duplicate templates... This is far more complex that I thought O.o
EDIT 9001: I decided to go this route, thought it'd be more helpful to others.
The enhanced mighty dragons itself templates and encounters seem pretty complex... Plus I'm a novice at skryim modding. But I figured this would be more valuable for the modding community then my attempt to tweak an advanced mod.
Thanks so much for porting this over. I guess many others had the same experiences I did if they also chose the lowest difficulty for Enhanced Mighty Dragons. Even with just this "Slighty" Mighty version, they are far tougher than Skyrim's stock dragons. One of these could take on several of the stock ones in a straight fight and probably win. They are very powerful. The higher powered versions are almost unplayable with a lower leveled character, but the lowest "Slighty" version is just enough to make the dragons very menacing without being unbeatable.
However, the original mod allowed you to alter their spawn frequency to a lower level, accounting for the dragons being much tougher and more dangerous. Otherwise the stock spawn rate has them buzzing you constantly like annoying mosquitoes. Could we get an alternate download version of this mod that is configured with a lower spawn rate? I believe the lowest you could go was 1/3 of the original frequency. Maybe add it as an optional esp to load after the main one? IDK how hard that is and what kind of resources you have, but I think it's a reasonable request??? Please and thank you.
No I meant reduced spawn rate. I love the dragon fights so far but i know in vanilla skyrim they can get too frequent at times. An option to reduce the spawn rates would be nice.
If I install this mod, along with diverse dragons and bellyaches dragons... all 3 of these mods add dragons to the level list. well technically both bellyaches and diverse add new dragons, where as this replaces them.
So can all 3 function together with a bashed or smashed patch and dragons from all 3 mods will spawn?
Sorry I meant bellyaches new dragon species patch... which it does not because it does not recognize the ESP name of this so it says there is a missing master.
I am thinking this should go below the Serio's enhanced dragon mod since that mod changes dragon behavior and ai... This mod also adds unique behavior to it's dragons as well does it not? But does that behavior override other dragons as well or just the dragons introduced in this mod?
So, what about the melee and breath damage of dragons???? The original mod almost one shots most characters. And, even the first dragon battle can't be finished until lvl 20. And, that pretty kills the shout playthrough. However, end game, beyond lvl 50, we do need some insane beasts to keep up with the powerful player. Especially Alduin and Durneviir. So, would you please provide some stats??? (Breath/melee damage)
Is the esp file in this interchangeable with the non-slightly version? (i.e. I can swap esp files and the game won't know any different? and more importantly, will any scripts be harmed in the process? I see no scripts included anyways)

The caretakers appear to have abandoned this port.
