How TF do you get your grass looking that good? Mine is still all patchy and gross. Is this all an ini setting or what? If it is please share that. I want whats in the picture.
Been a while since I've used Veydosebrom, but I believe in the screenshots my iMinGrassSize was set to 25 or 30. Make sure if you're using No Grass in Objects that you set the density in NGIO's ini, as that overwrites every other grass ini setting.
If I love how it looks even with complex grass enabled, there's no stability reason not to use it right? Your recommendation against enabling complex grass is just aesthetic?
There are only around 600 NPCs in Skyrim. Maybe 200 in DLCs. Let's conservatively say 1200 bandits/forsworn/etc. So 2000 mouths to feed.
1 acre of good farmland can feed about 16 people a year. Let's say Skyrim isn't good farmland and can feed 8 people per acre. The total of Skyrim is about 9600 acres. So you'd need about 250 acres of land or 2.6% of the total land area of Skyrim to be farmland to feed everyone. Probably half that after I killed most of the Bandits. While that's more farmland than the game currently shows, it's a fraction of the tundra. Way more wheat than necessary.
Which options did you pick in the fomod? I'm not entirely sure what's causing that as I just checked the files and they're all correct. Tested with default Veydosebrom and it looks fine even at 512 res
Are you sure nothing is overwriting Veydosebrom's meshes? Any grass mod that has similarly named tundra meshes that's plugin loads after Veydosebrom's will overwrite it, since Veydosebrom's are packed in a BSA. Or loose meshes from another mod will also overwrite Veydosebrom's. The meshes are found under /data/landscape/grass/tundragrass**.nif where ** = numbers.
At least in my case, I had the same thing due to the complex grass being on, remember to turn It off and you should be fine. This looks pretty great with grass sampler btw :)
I think Veydosebrom's tundra textures would look a little weird being all green as they have the little cat-tail-like things at the ends. Maybe I'll do a recolor where just the stems are green and keep the tops gold/brown, no promises though.
